I love the pictures!  Murphy looks so goofy!  I bet he's precious. 
When you open the baby gate that you have is there a bar that goes across the bottom?  I need a baby gate to go at the top of my stairs in my house.  Gillian is still waking up at night and coming into my room which is right next to the stairs and I'm so scared she's going to fall down in the middle of the night and crack her head on the marble floor at the bottom.  I have one but it has a bar across the bottom and I'm afraid someone is going to trip over that bar and fall down, which defeats the purpose.  I want one with a swing door but the only ones I can find without a bar are those stupid plastic ones that get on my nerves.
