What do you think about a chatroom? Do you think that causes more trouble than it is worth?? lol

Maybe have a "ask the Watcher" page, where people can ask The Watcher questions.

Actually, in all seriousness.....I have had a heck of a time editing things. When I fix something then hit edit, it comes back to the same page....it has done it numerous times to me...possibly a problem on my end, but thought I'd see if it happens to anyone else.

I have to go back and start over then it usually works....

I agree - it is an annoying aspect.  If you look towards the top of the page below the line where it shows "Main Page/List All Users/Search/User Details" when that happens you'll see that it says

"You have recently posted a comment. Please wait a moment before trying to post again."

If you wait a moment and then hit submit it should then work OK.

I always go back and read my posts to make sure they are saying what I actually meant to say, can't be taken any other way, and all is spelled correctly. When I make changes it adds an "edited by" line to my post. It really stinks when I do that and then decide to add something else and then there are TWO "edited by" lines. Not a big deal, but if I were to change something, I would get rid of the "edited by" everytime someone edits.... I figure everybody doesn't need to know how many times it took for me to get my post right!

Ha, I had to edit this one too, didn't you all need to know that? LOL

I feel silly when I have to edit one of my posts more than once so that I create a list of edited by lines.  However, there is one great advantage to all those edited by lines: Ansy and I cannot secretly edit anyone's posts.  Members always know if a post remains in its original form or not.

Ok....you got me on that one...lol.  That cracked me up...lol (and I could agree with that statement sometimes...lol).

As far as editing your posts multiple times.......there is a solution.  It comes Over-The-Counter and costs $19.99......no really.....

When you are editing a 2nd or 3rd time.......just erase the previous 'edited by' comments.  That way it will only show that you edited once.  Believe me, I scathe by using that one ALOT.....lol

As far as the inability to edit posts quickly, there is a built in timer which makes members wait a certain time limit before posting/editing so that a spammer couldn't come in and flood the board.  That's why there is a delay.  When you Start or Reply to a thread you may notice that it takes a few moments for the page to actually 'load'.  It will say 24 items remaining or something like that at the bottom....and if you type during this time then everything you type will be erased when the page fully loads.  This is the time delay.  If you wait for the bottom of the page to say 'Done' then you can begin typing and post with no problem.

I know this is aggrivating, and the wait is longer if you are on dial up or there are more pictures in the thread to load, but it really is a good tool to use against spammers.  If a mod is on and someone goes on a spamming spree, it gives us time to ban them and delete the posts before anyone could see potentially vulgar information.

If we are not on.......then you are up a creek.

I like things the way they are. My computer loads things pretty fast so I hardly ever have problems posting. Chat has been pretty empty lately. I don't think no one has been on there in over a week.

I've noticed the fact that you need the page to fully load before you can post. And though its annoying I do understand why its there *shrug*

And besides, I'm on cable so I dont need to wait long anyways
