Bully Sticks

O.K. Some of you that know me from a previous life may know that I found this awesome company that delivers pet supplies (I'm lazy). It didn't seem to be higher than if I drove to get it so I went for it. They had greenies (they are higher than the store $1.25 a piece!!) and bully sticks. I bought the bully sticks- I think they were $3.25 or something like that. Just wondering if anyone knows if those are o.k. for them...  They love them!

What the heck are those.  I thought bully sticks were something to use on aggressive dogs...I didn't know they were something to eat....

I hope this isn't out of line, but the "stick" that you are referring to is a breaking stick.  AND it isn't used for "aggressive" dogs.  It is used for any type of dog to break up a fight with a determined dog safely without getting bitten in the process.  I have no idea what a bully stick is.

I don't think they're bad for them, but I wouldn't give them too often. lol  They are, from what I understand, dried bull privates. hehe  How do you say it just right?

Ok, I looked them up! LOL  Not what I was thinking of! Although very similar! Maybe they are different in Canada and the US, but this is what I read:

These are Bully Sticks

These lightly smoked, natural beef muscles become chewy when wet and provide a natural way to clean teeth. 100% digestible. Made by Redbarn Pet Products, USA

The ones I'm thinking of are just Bullies or something like that. LOL  I just remember asking the store owner about them and when he told me I had to wash my hands!

We used to make them for the dogs. My sister used to work in a slaughter house and we would take the bull penises and dry them out. The dogs loved them. But that is exactly what a bully stick is. You have to think of it this way. The penis is a muscle. And I don't think they are going to put bull privates on the package. Muscle just sounds better.

Yeah. Think about it. Y'all said it was natural beef muscles. Well, guess what muscle it is? LOL Like I said are you going to buy something in the store that says bull penises or are you going to buy something that says beef muscle? Thats why I never give it to Oscar because I think it is gross. And hubby thinks its inhumane.

Here is a link. The part that reads. "These are natural products and size will vary" cracks me up.
