I voted pure breed because that is what my 2 are. However, all but 2 of my previous furpals over the years have been mixed and they were just as wonderful!
Collie, welcome to the group! I'm sure you'll love it here. Looking forward to hearing more about your furpal!
I can't decide what I like better. I have a pug/chi mix, a purebred rat terrier, and (what we were told was) a purebred doberman. I would have to say I like both equally.
Ooohhhh. Don't tell me that... I want another one and my husband would kill me! He is coming back from a trip...maybe I can hit him up now...at a weak moment!! Hmmmm What kind of dog should I add to my pack? I have always wanted a tiny puppy...but with my 2 wild dogs...they would probably hurt a little one...
Get an american bulldog. That's what I want. REALLY BAD!! But dh says no more, as well, and when Eli (god forbid) dies, he says we can't get another one, even though the dobe rescue said that if we keep him till he's gone, they'll give us another dobe for free. Not that I wouldn't make like a $50 donation or something, but I still would like to collect on that one. I guess I'll have to wait a few years. I just love dogs and would love to have about 10, but I know that'll never happen, unless I get divorced and get a really good paying job, yeah right!!
I have two mutts (and two cats), all foundlings. I live in a city that has an amazingly large stray population. You can tell how long transplants to this city have lived here by the number of unplanned pets they have. You don't even have to drive to the shelter; you can just adopt whatever literally shows up on your doorstep. I know people who have found purebreds, so I may someday end up with a purebred, too.

Absolutely pure, with a long snobby pedigree that goes back to the very first Labs on record, with most of the best Labs in the Labrador books included in it, both show and field champions. Oh, and some of the oldest and tightest genetic screening on record is there, including the several generations that I have whelped and bred, all eye, hip and elbow certified...
