Hello everyone! I chat with Ansy in another forum and she has been telling me about this place. I thought I'd take a look and wow! Looks nice!
I am the proud owner of a Labradoodle and two other lab mixes that a friend gave to me when her dog had an oops pregnancy. I'm not sure what they are mixed with. Don't worry, I am NOT about breeding rotti-doodles, dobie-doodles, or any other doodle mixture on the planet. I just like the labradoodles ands couldn't be happier with the one I have.
We chat on a Labradoodle forum and it's really a shame because owners like me are limited on where we can go to discuss our pets. You can visit any forum as long as you talk about your 'other' pets but the minute you bring up a Labradoodle your history. So we pretty much stick to the doodle forum as that is the only place we can get information. I must say, it really isn't a nice feeling when you are judged because of the type of dog you want or own.
Let me say though, that I can accept and sometimes like constructive criticism about the dogs. Thats how we learn. By people voicing their opinions and views, it may make some of us realize or think about things we haven't considered before.
From previous experience on forums, I know that all of you will not 'take a liking' to me at first (because I am one of those who paid dearly for the dog she wanted), but I would really enjoy being able to be a part of an 'all dog' forum because I have other dogs besides the doodle.
I couldn't care less if you had a chi-doodle.. It's your money. I won't try to tell you what to do with it. I personally could not pay a ton of money for a pure-bred or a doodle dog...so to me, it doesn't make sense to pay a lot for either one...unless you are going to be showing or breeding the dog. Welcome to the forum!
Welcome to the furum. I've seen far fewer labradoodles on petfinder than purebred labs, so you won't get any complaints out of me. I think it's great when people try to adopt before they go to a breeder, but sometimes the dog for which they are looking simply isn't available, at least nowhere near their area. And not all mutts are the same, so the argument that people shouldn't buy labradoodles because there are mutts in shelters makes as much sense as saying people shouldn't buy Ibizans because there are purebreds in shelters. Yes, there are purebreds in shelters, but the odds of finding an Ibizan are next to nothing.

Welcome!!! I have a dane-doodle. Just joking!!! I have a 3 year old Great Dane. He is like a second child to me. Nice to see new faces around here. Personally I don't care what breed of dogs everyone owns. Everyone has their own personal preferance. Hope you stick around. Here is my boy.
Hello- my name is jawlaw and I am a ...... doodle lover.... I know I need to go to DA (Doodle Anonymous), but I can't find a group around here...so you guys will just have to help me...take one day at a time! Don't worry, you don't have to act like it is a disease or a socially unacceptable habit that you have...on this forum anyway!!
Welcome!! No worries here on what "breed" of dog you have or how much you paid. If I wanted something badly enough I'd pay whatever I thought I needed to get it.
