Trip to the Zoo

I took Kaitlyn to the Fort Worth Zoo on Sunday. To tell y'all the truth I feel sorry for all the animals on there. I don't think they look too happy. There was a bear that just paced the bottom of the space he was in. My sister said that when she was there in the summer time the same bear was pacing. Kaitlyn really didn't enjoy it too much though. She was afraid of all the monkeys. She told me they were nasty.LOL!! She was afraid of the lions because they were not very happy at the time. But she did like the Cheetas and the snakes. She wanted to hold the 30 foot snake. I think its strange how she can be afraid of a monkey but not a snake that could swallow her whole. But I took lots of pictures of the animals. Maybe when I get them developed I will post some of the better ones.

We went to the FWZ last March when we visited Texas.I have to say I wasn't that impressed and felt the same way about the animals. They seemed very depressed. If i knew how to post pics I would. I hate snakes,my son use to have a boa when he lived at home.It got out once when I was home alone, the guys had went fishing.I was awake all night watching his bedroom door !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent 22 dollars there and that was for a adult ticket, a childs ticket, and a stroller rental. The Dallas Zoo is cheaper and nicer. I think we will try there next. And it also cost 5 dollars to park the car but my sister paid for that. Well at least I spent enough to feed a Elephant for one of its meals. I might try the Oklahoma City Zoo too. I can say one thing though. The weather was so nice yesterday.

Wow.  The Bronx zoo is free on Wednesdays so that when we go over the summer, of course.  The Philadelphia Zoo isnt too far but I havent been there in years.  I always loved the penguins.  Theyre so stinkin cute!  The cat house was never my favorite.  I cant get over the smell.  Eww.  But I've never noticed the animals unhappy.  Annoyed with humans maybe.    ha I swear they want to eat us.

Paige, the OKC zoo is nice but there are also sad animals there.  I'm not sure if it is better for them to be in a zoo or not.  Sad that they are unhappy just to educate humans.

No, I don't remember that. There was one part of the zoo that we didn't go to because Kaitlyn was hungry and we weren't going to get food there. I wasn't about to pay 2 bucks for a small popcorn when I can go to Walmart and buy a box of 8 for 2 dollars. But I know we are not going to that zoo again.

I have seen that before! I am always impressed by the FW Zoo because I am from a small town and their zoo was a joke! It doesn't take much to impress me. lol
