I got great advice from Dallasgoldens on what to do for clipper digging in my planters, now any advice on a cheap and nice looking way to put a 2 foot fence around my grass to keep the dogs out of my flowers and plants. To give you all an idea, we have a funky shaped grass area in the middle of the back yard with edging around it and pea gravel around the edges with plants, flowers and trees planted in the pea gravel. They keep stepping on my flowers and eating the leaves. I want to put a nice looking little fence around the grass to help keep them out of the plants but i don't have a ton of cash (spent enough already on doing the yard). I was just hopeing someone might have a suggestion. I thought of a little picket fence which is cheap but my hubby says no cuz he thinks they are ugly. Dork. So any suggestions? If you need to see the yard to get an idea, check out http://community.webshots.com/user/rdubbe and click on back yard.
I can't get it the link to come up. can you get any used or old fencing. You could cut it short, three feet, and paint it or stain it, and use stinsal or the one touch paint to make it cute. or if you have a flea market you could look for old rot iron, if it is rusty, just get some still wool. and spray paint.
I am not sure really. What about a stone wall. You can buy the stone at Lowes or Home Depot. I also like the iron fence idea. One of these days I plan on fixing up my backyard. I have always wanted a pond with fish but I am afraid Oscar would drink from it. That would give the fish a heart attack for sure.
LOL paige. We have a pond too but my hubby works with sheetmetal and we found some scrap pieces about 2 foot by 4 foot that we will put around the pond (we have turtles to put in it too) but there aren't enough for the yard. Stone is good and so is iron but they are pricey. Think i'll just make a simple one out of stakes but not to look like a picket fence since my hubby whines about that.
