Thanks Denise & Jess (and anyone else...lol)! It's a beautiful Tennessee day! Sunny blue skies and near 70 degrees - our warmest day so far this year! I've brought out the capri's and sandals!...lol We are such home bodies...lol We've just been sittin on the porch all day enjoying the weather (one of these days I will have to return to work full time...lol so I gotta soak it in while I can!).
No special plans for today - just enjoying it with each other and the kids. We didn't get each other big gifts. Money is tight with remodeling this old house. Hubby presented me with a huge bottle of lotion, a buffer, and some oils. I got an hour long foot rub with those and to me, a nice foot rub is worth more than things money can buy...lol. I'm such a sucker to have my feet rubbed - and I'm gonna squeeze another one out of him tonight! As far as what I got him, well, I'm so lame. I haven't gotten him anything yet.....he's so hard to buy for. He finally told me that he'd like some guy stuff - Armor-all, and stuff to clean his truck. God we are lame!!!...lol He says that anniversaries are for the women, not the men (boy I got off lucky, huh?).
Maybe for out 10th anniversary we'll plan something big, but this is only our 4th. To us, just spending the day together is better than anything else. We never know when that opportunity will be taken away from us. Life is short and we learned a hard lesson with that recently.
Ok....I'm 31 and he's 24.....so I'm gonna go back to the porch with grand-pa now...lol. We'll just be sittin in our rockers like ma and pa Kettle...lol........
....as I hum my favorite song...."Oh, What a Wonderful World" (Louis Armstrong).........
Happy Anniversary!! And no you are not lame at all. My and Brads favorites times are when we just sit at home without Kaitlyn and order pizza and rent a movie. My other favorite me time is when I can take a bath without anyone talking to me. And to think I am just 22.
Well, happy anniversary from me too!! And seeing as how we are married 12 years and really are old people(he's 73 almost 74 and I'm 57) we like the sitting around stuff too!'
Remind me one day to ask you about Tennessee...We were thinking of moving there from Mississippi cause I hate it here..We are thinking of Crossville area....and we need some input from someone who's living there.
My ex-stepmom lives in Tenn. i am not sure if you have heard of it. Bone Cave, TN. I think its one of those small towns where you have to haul your own water to the top of the mountain. LOL Pretty strange if you ask me but she likes all the peace and quite that she has.
