I have noticed that someone from this forum keeps posting on TP. This morning it was I'm so sorry you cant read the forum, etc...I dont mind, but I think it just adds fuel to the fire. I dont mean to offend anyone and I usually keep my mouth shut, but I'm so tired of all this bickering between these two forums. This site is getting a bad rep and it doesnt help when we are posting negative things on TP.
Please whoever it is dont get mad at me, I just think it would be better for The Furum if stuff like that wasnt posted over on TP. This site is great, I love it, and I hate seeing people bad mouth it, this kind of stuff just gives them a reason too.
Sydney- I certainly am not mad. It is hard to argue with the truth. However, have you ever posted on their forum to not stir up trouble over here? I doubt it. Because they probably would have banned you for it. Like I said, it is hard to argue with someone like you because you are trying to keep peace and that is a good thing, but it seems everyone wants us to do the right thing and doesn't say anything to them about....whaaaaa. I know it sounds like a 2 year old, right? lol
Syd, I know of a few members who have or are doing this. It's hard to narrow it down to one person. Someone from TP came to me wanting to talk things out. I offered her a time and place and then she refused. I'm not sure what else to do at this point, but I am open to suggestions as always. We are ready for it all to stop, but they are not willing to work with us. If they have a counter-offer, I'm listening.........
You know, when you go back and read some of this stuff....it sounds so silly...and it really is, but I do allow any topic to be discussed here and I have to honor the rules and not change them in mid-game, so to speak.
I told someone from TP that if this could be settled, I would remove all further threads about TP from the Furum and not allow them to be posted. She never specifically responded to that offer.
I just want you guys to know, I'm not complaining about the posts here. I think it is great we can talk about anything and it wont get deleted. I just meant when we start posting taunting things over there under differnt names, that it makes this forum look bad. I believe that The Furum is better then that and we shouldnt stoop to their level by posting those kind of things over there.
I didnt post something like this on TP b/c I dont care what kind of reputation that board gets. Also if i were to have posted this there it would have just turned into another one of those long bickering posts. I love The Furum b/c no one fights and bickers, you can state your opinion with out being scared of getting ganged up on. It doesnt really matter who it is that posted that on the other site, I just thought it would make The Furum look better if we didnt post such things over there.
Ansy this forum is great, you did a really good job! All the best people are over here. I have been visiting and posting on TP less and less, and have been enjoying your forum more and more. I wish those over at TP would just leave the Furum alone. However with all their bickering about the Furum and mentioning it by name, they are kind of advertising for you,lol.
Sydney, I have to commend you! I think you have hit the nail right on the head with your outlook & I agree with you 110%. Although I'm not actually involved in the issue on a personal level I too feel that our membership should step up to the plate and show all that we are all above stooping to the level of the members at TP who have been the cause for all of the feuding. Continuing it just gives "value" to TP in that it assigns importance to their views and taunts. The members here who no longer desire to be active members there need to cut the ties completely regardless of what goes on over there.
Ansy has done what she can to try to put an end it. She can only do so much. And nothing will ever get accomplished if every person here does not stop going over there and stirring up things - it doesn't really matter what they say or do over there - it will not affect one person here if you don't let it. Ansy has done what she can to try to stop them from coming here & stirring things up.
For those members who are members both here & there, that is fine and is no problem as long as they don't post on TP about The Furum and don't post about The Furum about TP. The 2 furums need to be kept separate. Let them bash us there - but let's be the better forum & stop bashing them here & stop invading them to see what they are saying about us or to stir up things there.
No forum should have the impact on personal lives such as I have seen take place with this issue. When you come right down to it there are plenty of other aspects of life that should definitely take precedence and this is one of the easiest to eliminate. I am sure if it was someone's job each & every person who is involved would be doing everything in their power to find another source of income so that they wouldn't be subjected to the strife this has created. This issue is a whole lot easier to get rid of if everyone would just let it go. But it will have to have 100% participation - just one person continuing it will keep it going. Do any of you really want them to feel that they are that important? I don't think so. Let's make today the day this ends, at least as far as we are concerned - who cares if they don't have anything worthwhile to focus their attentions on. Teamwork will accomplish it.
