I'm worried about that neck wound, too.  The rest doesn't look so bad.  The other wounds don't look great, but they're not scary.

Can you take him to your vet when the place opens tomorrow at 8:00?  I suggest you be waiting at the door when the place opens if you can do so.  I know you can't go to the e-vet unless you have the money up front.  The e-vet here works that way, too, and the place here doesn't work out payment plans.

PD.   Sorry to see such wounds.  If you can not get to the vet try and clean the area as best as you can, flush the wounds you see with some water and peroxide 25peroxide and 75 water, use a bulb syringe if you have it, than if available use some neosporin in the wound untill you get to a DVM

Rusty is 5 and Rambo will be a year on 4-26-05

Well you can bet I will be there at 8 am sharp. I am soooooo mad at Rusty I could scream! I refuse to go near him for fear I would beat the Shmit out of him again! I kicked his butt in the front yard once tonight! Let me tell you anyone who says never to hit their dog has never expierenced what this feels like. I am not sorry one bit I whipped his little tail for it! Not one mark on the jerk! I do not react well when a dog I raised and trained from a pup does not release when I give the command. Every single other dog in the yard INCLUDING poor Rambo stopped when I yelled to "stand down" Except for this big overgrown marmaduke! I am so so so angry right now! We had to literally pry his jaw open to get him top break loose! You can bet for sure he will have a muzzel on by 10 am tomorrow morning. The store is right next to the vets office and I will not be returning without a muzzel! ALL males wil be muzzeled from now on I have HAD IT!

That neck wound does need to be flushed, there is also the possiblity of torn muscles around the neck from the teeth dragging across it. Flush it the best you can, keep her calm, crate if you can.  But expect either stiches or staples, and a possible tube to drain when you get to the vet. got any butterfly bandages for the ear. Peroxide is not the best thing to use, but if you have nothing else go ahead. With the neck wound , if he will allow it flush it well with the sterile water.

Pits when my foster baby Princess came to live with me I began using a holistic vet and because Princess had been burned so severely she had open wounds all over. The holistic vet recommended using Calendula ointment on the wounds. It can be purchased at most pharmacies and possibly at Wal-Mart. It's also supposed to be very soothing. Anyhow the stuff was amazing within days her wounds had begun to close up and in a matter of weeks they were nearly healed up.

This is was how Princess looked when she first came to me...Ouch! http://photobucket.com/albums/v338/reginaha/Foster%20Babies/?action=view&current=Princess5.jpg

I have all that done already. I have not sealed it because many wounds in the past i thought whould have been stitched or sealed the vets have said leave to heal on their own. I have him crated and sedated. He is in lala land right now which is good because the calmer he stays the less likely he will bleed or bother it. He has puncture wounds on his back as well but they are very minor. This neck wound does concern me and I will no doubt be up all night. I am in tears right now.

I know it always is seeming bad when its you standing there. He will be ok though. I know it. Just keep it clean and get him to the vet asap in the morning. He'll be ok pits don't worry too much. I know hard to do, but being I've had mine attacked. Similar wounds. everything will be fine.

"OMGosh Gina how did this dog get this way??"

Princess was deliberately set on fire by her owner she suffered severe chemical burns. She was originally part of his breeding program...(If you want to call it that) but after who knows how many litters of puppies she suffered a prolapsed uterus and had to be spayed.

So she essentially became useless to her owner so he decided to throw her in a dog fight but Princess being the sweetheart that she is did not fight instead she was torn to shreds. So needless to say that angered her owner even more so he took her to his back yard along with three other "useless" dogs poured gasoline on them and lit them on fire. Luckily there was a nosy neighbor next door who saw what was happening and called 911 when the police and fire department got there Princess was burning alive.

Princess went through 3 months of painful burn treatments the whole time wasting away in a shelter in Kentucky until I was called about her. When I went to pick her up I was warned before hand that she was very bad off but I had no idea she was as bad as she was. But it was only on her outside because even after all she went through she was still the most sweetest loving dog you could ever meet.

Princess was with my family and I for 5 months until she was adopted by a wonderful family who live in Wyoming. She is now happier than she has ever been and spoiled beyond belief!

Princess's former owner was sentenced to 9 years prison time and not allowed to ever own another animal once released from prison.

Here are more pictures of Princess.

These are the day she left to go to her new home...You can see how much she healed in just 5 months.

Wow pits.....bad owies!  The picture of your dobe makes him still look mad.....lol  Let us know how it goes at the vet tomorrow.  Oh and my mom says females can come in heat as early as 5 months old.  Bet that's the reason

Pits....you might to put some gause in/over it and then tie some gause around his neck.....not too tight so it chokes him, but enough to put some pressure on it.  I would keep it closed off and let the vet decide whether or not to leave it open.  Leaving it open right now just poses so much threat of an infection, which could pose some serious problems down the road.

My brother's dog came into heat at around 5 months.  He was planning on having her spayed at 6 months, the typical spaying age, and got quite a surprise when she came into heat early.  He'd never dealt with a dog in season before and swears he'll never do so again.  He had the dog spayed after the heat cycle and plans on adopting a male dog next time.

Dillon is trying to hump Pepper! I see no bleeding or swelling yet. Rusty got Rambo last week but stopped immediatly when told to. Rambo was sniffing where Pepper had pottied. I bet anything she is coming in early. I know Rusty and he is not dog agressive he never has been. He ONLY does this when there is a female in heat. So that has to be it. That or he has completly lost his mind! I cannot wait until they are all snipped! Poor Rambo! I am putting hubby on the couch and Rambo in the bed with me tonight. He loves the waterbed anyhow and he needs to be cuddled and watched and spoiled. UGH I need a drink!
