Hey All!

Just wanted to let everyone who knew about Sandy that she is doing great!  We took her to the vet yesterday for a check up, and all was well.  So we get to take her back again on  Tuesday for her stitches to finally be removed! The vet has given us a $300 discount, but we're still looking at paying $1,268.  My gosh it's so expensive...but my baby girl is totally worth all the money!

Also just wanted to say that with everything going on with Tp and all that, that I am NOT a spy.  I joined because Jess told me about this site, i checked it out, liked it and joined.  I know i haven't posted much, but thats because when i am on the computer i'm in the chat! lol! but i'm definetly hoping to be posting more often, i like it here, so much less drama!

And as for pics of all my babies...I have pics of all of them except one.  My holland lop bunny Ginger is a new addition, and i haven't yet developed the pics...but here's the other 10 of the crew:

A spy. You guys crack me up. As if I would give a flying hoot who reads my posts , as long as they don't delete the stupid things after I have tapped them out so laboriously with my one finger

Both of your dogs' facial expressions have that "I'm a big ol' baby" look.  They are adorable.  My rott mix also thinks she is a lap dog.  Instead of giving her a treat or regular praise, I will occasionally reward her with lap time for following a command, she thinks it is the best reward EVER.

Isis - Sandy wasn't spayed when she was a puppy (my dads fault) so in her last heat her uterus ended up getting infected, and was full of puss.  She was pretty bad off, she was hardly moving, she wasn't eating, and she just looked awful.  So what ended up happening was she had to get blood work, and x-rays done to see what was wrong.  It's called pyrometa (i so can't spell that, ha, can't even say it).  So all that had to happen was she had to be spayed, but it was high risk because she wasn't doing so well.  I asked the vet, and it was cool cause he actually let me watch the operation happen, which i thought was interesting.  In the end, her uterus which should be the size of his pinky ended up weighing 4.14 lbs.  Her surgery was done on thursday, and her stitches will be taken out this coming tuesday.  she's doing great now, thank god! the only problem now is the huge vet bill!

Sandyboo, it is spelled Pyometra and that is wonderful news that she is doing well. A friend of ours calls it pyrometra (for flaming uterus) which is pretty close.
