Shadow Has a new home! His new mommy is coming to pick him up today! My hubby is really gonna miss him because he just loves him and they play together ever day. But he knows that Shadow needs more then we are able to give him right now. Mark is depressed he couldnt keep him and we were not able to get onto our new property and finish our house as fast as we thought. I feel bad for him he is really attached to Shadow. But you know what is best for Shadow is what must take priority and he knows that.
Shadow is going to an awesome home but we are going to miss him. He was a pain in the but at first but he has come a long way since then and his journey is not over yet. I think with his new mommy and continued training he wil be just fine.

AAWWWW......how happy........and sad at the same time!! I'm glad you found a new home for Shadow and that he will be happy. That is what matters there. Your hubby will get over it and you guys will find a new doggie that he will fall in love with just as much. Congratulations!!
well we will not be getting a new dog for a long time. Once we are doing better financially and can afford another dog. Right now the ones I have are more then enough. lol and I have pleanty to keep me busy with the rescues. Speaking of which is there anyone near the Georgia area that can help with transportation? We have 13 dogs that need to go to Valdosta from Augusta. All the dogs at the kennel Have been chosen by rescue groops for placement but I cannot transport them alone. I can transport all the small pups and three large dogs. we need help with the other 5 larger ones. The remainder of the total 21 are headed for Atlanta and we have transport available for them already.

Well Shadows new mommy just called and cant get here today. He will be going home begining of next week though. Which is actually gonna work out good. We put his butt in the bath (not an easy task) when she called the first time wanting him to be all clean and handsom for her. Well he decided to roll around in the ick in the yard and now he is all muddy! He went from smelling like a prince to smelling like a stinky foot! Whew! It is a workout bathing this dog! And you have to get into the shower with him and scrub him that way because if you try to just stick him in the tub he ends up taking you with him anyway!

Glad to hear that everything went well and Shadow has a new family to love him! Give hubby a hug from all of us...it has to be tough to let go of a friend, even when you know it's for the best.
oh yes and he decided that since his stay with us has nearly ended he is taking him to the river walk and bringing pleanty of biscuits and balogna sandwiches (Shadow loves balogna lol) Shadow loves going there and I just know Mark is really gonna be sad when he goes.

OMGosh that is not funny really because Dorothy was so upset the other night she actually accidentally sprayed her hair with Willows flea spray pon accident! I had to laugh because now she is "flea Free"! LMAO

First off, I'd like to say "Hi" to everyone. I'm new here, I've come over once or twice, but never posted.
I want to thank Pits for taking in Shadow and giving him a better home than I could. I had circumstances where I couldn't let him out as much as I liked and he was crated most of the time. With Pits he got to run around outside and play alot. He's the best dog and I love him to death. I want whats best for him and have no regrets about where he went. I know who his new mommy will be and I couldn't be happier.
For the record, I've been trying to stay neutral about everything thats been going on on both forums. I feel horrible for Gina, I know how it feels to be threatened. I also feel for Pits, to have your whole personal life splashed out there for everyone to see stinks. I do want everyone to know when I brought my babies to her, I would never have left them if I didn't feel she provided a good home to her animals. They were all healthy, clean and happy. I played with them all, including the "problem child" who is SO cute, I wanted to take her home with me. I have a hard time keeping my house smelling that good with 2 dogs, never mind 9. I'm grateful for her doing for my babies what I couldn't do for them.
Jazzy thank you for the recognition. And thank you for clarifying the condition of my home and my animals. Especially since one of the horrible allegations about me on the net was that my house if filthy and has dog poop all over. It means a great deal to me to know you have no regrets about your decision to place the dogs with me. I made you a promise that I would save those dogs and care for them and do what was in their best interest first and I feel I have done that. I know that each dog that comes into our lives even if it is only temporary leaves a mark on our lives in some way. Shadow has been a special part of our lives and I will miss him a great deal. He will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts. He was a very lucky boy the day you rescued him from the cold and his life has only gotten progressivly better because of you and the choices you have made for him. Shadow is truly blessed to have so many people that love him and I am confident that his new mommy will be the best step for him yet. Also I feel his journey towords a forever home will be completed now.

I already visit 3 forums, and am afraid not to have enough time to keep up with another, but I am so excited and proud that I had to come reply to this one!
I will be picking up Shadow this weekend! I am very excited. He stole my heart when Jazzy first posted about re-homing him, but at that time I was not able to take him myself. Then, sadly, I lost my Missy to a brain tumor. Now Manson needs a playmate and I think Shadow will be just right!
shinyblackpit--I'm so sorry about Missy. She was lucky to have an owner as devoted as you were, and I'm sure she was glad to have the time she did with you.
No wonder jazzy is happy about Shadow's placement!
