Ok. Here are mine. Haven't yet figured out how to get them in the post like yours are, pits. I tried Oasis' info and the part about right clicking on the image and copy/pasting it didn't work.

These are my oil paintings

What great art work, this one reminds me of my boss, he sells renisannces stuff and is always goofing off,

The jester reminds me of my boss. Hes a renisannce man. Sells his wares at the faires. I help make the stuff.

Mollie do you sell your art or just keep it for your own collection.

Oasis, that painting your friend did is absolutely gorgeous!! I wish I could do landscapes, but everytime I try, I can't get into it and paint over it with a picture of a person or something. I like doing pictures of people and cars and animals. Can ya tell?? lol

I had offers of $100 for the Billy Corgan fetus picture, but I couldn't bear to part with it. I've thought about it, but the only ppl that see my stuff are my family and friends and my family always wants me to do pretty things, like landscapes, which I won't/can't do. I guess I could sell a few of them, if anyone was interested........................

Those are really nice. Was the Crow Brandon Lee? I liked that one esp. The only suggestion I have is you seem to need a little structural correction on the horses'/unicorn's back legs. Try pulling up: http://thundercloud.net/stationery2/equine/index.htm I think you will see what I mean right away. I could always do animals, was not as good at people. Did a lot of artwork, gave it all away. Wanna be rich, so I can sit and do more of it...

That one isn't totally finished either. I'm never really happy, in the end, with my oil paintings especially, so I still work on them a little bit, whenever I get in the mood to do it. For me, it's a mood. I haven't really had that itch to start painting now for like almost a year, I think. I don't know what it is really, it's just a mood for me, I guess. I wasn't happy with the turnout of the unicorn, the tree, or the princess. All need more work done on them. But that one, so far, has been the best of all my oils.
Yes, the Crow one is supposed to be Brandon Lee. I don't like it though. It was my first crack at oil painting and I was still in high school when I did it and I'm not happy with the turnout on the face AT ALL!! Oh, well. Someday I may feel like working on that one again. Sigh. I didn't like the turnout of Winona Ryder's face in the Dracula one either. Her dress is awesome, I'm so proud of that, but her face looks like sh*t. Not as bad as Brandon's face, but still doesn't look like her. I guess it doesn't have to look like her, but the shading is all wrong, I think.

No the Crow painting is excellent, don't change it! I just could not remember if that was Lee's boy or not in that movie. Damned shame about that kid. He had so much promise. I am a huge fan of his father's, have read, studied, and practised his theory, and his art. He was a great man in the world

Thanks, Pits!! Brad went to school for graphic design as well. Spent a lot of money going to school for it. Now he works in a factory and makes farm equipment. Not very many openings for that kind of work around here and the ones that are available don't pay close to what he's making at the factory. I feel bad I love my job and it has at least a little bit to do with art. He hates his job and it has nothing at all to do with art. He was a tattoo artist off and on for a few years, but there's just not enough room for more than one in this small town.
KM, I agree, it was a shame about both Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee. Brandon got shot on the set of The Crow, didn't he?? Or was it the sequel?? I can't quite remember. Bruce fell into some sort of mysterious coma and died, didn't he?? Very very strange that both died rather mysteriously, I think.

Lee had a problem in his brain, I think. He had been complaining of a headache and was given a prescription pain killer and died from whatever caused the head ache. He pushed his body way too hard.
Brandon did not finish Crow, he was shot by a supposedly prop gun that was "accidently" loaded with real bullets. Insiders said that he would not "play ball" with Hollywood powers and they were making a point, example, cutting the competition, etc.
Really that is a lovely piece you did, it conveys such a feeling from the character. We artists are always our own worst critic. The thing with the horse's back legs has to do with the length of the thigh, and the horse has very hard straight angles on it's legs, your front ends are good.

Here Mollie try this. It is easier to catch the harshness of the angle in the silloquette type art. http://www.alove4horses.com/horse_clip_art.html

Well at least this time one of my claimed talents is proven lol. I think people are all talented in a great many ways some just do not tap into those talents. The human brain is not utalized anywhere close to its postential. I guess that is why when I come across something that sparks my interest I do what I can to learn about it and expierence it. It is cool that when we get to talking we find many of us have a great deal in common.

You're right Pits. I like the photos of Labs on the Lab forum, but the people on this board seem more kindred somehow...
I think we resonate, and draw more like minded folk to us as well, and of course, we draw jealous onlookers also. They cannot be us, so it makes them uncomfortable that we are here...

I use to sketch and paint, haven't done that in 6 years I bet. Now I use my talent in homes. I love to decorate, paint, and do tile work.  I can't wait to get a finished project and enjoy it.  My mind is overly creative. I taught myself to play music when young and loved to write music. I enjoyed writing peotry. My mind constantly flows with ideas...I drive Russ crazy!
