Ok...I know there are some dogs out there a few sandwiches shy of a full picnic basket....but Rocky takes the cake. Molly is too smart for her own good, then there is Rock.
I swear he barks at his own shadow. His nick name is Rooby Roo (Scooby Doo) Russ swears he stoned half the time!! lmao....
Trust me, his lack of "smarts" is outweighed by his loving nature. When he looks at you it is like a human looking at you.
SO....the point of this thread....do any of you have lovable lugs lacking in the marble department?
Tyson turns his head like Scooby Doo and appears to be thinking "AURU"?
The rabbits: Bo and Luke (Dukes of Hazzard) are very very indifferent. They like to be held but don't seem to understand the point of toys. They do know where the water bottle and the food can be found. Maybe not so dumb after all.
OH yes Rusty is a big lovable ox but dumb as a load of dirt! He is extremly devoted to my husband though and would give his life to protect him. He is a block head sometimes but I love him!

Yes! Exactly!! lol That is Rocky....I do believe his biggest dream is to be Molly's size so he could curl up in our lap! He looks so sad when Molly is being cuddled in our arms. You kind of have to get on the floor and wrap your arms around him!! He lives for that! But he is our protector....man, that bark! Scares the **** outta me everytime. I don't think anyone will ever get through our door!
BUT....let me say this...the phone guy was here one day. Rock lost his mind.....barking. The second the guy stepped in the door Rocky was under the table peeking out!!!! lol He actually does that with everyone who comes over. Scares them to death then runs and hides. He would never hurt a flea. But I bet if he thought we were threatened he wouldn't back down so easy though.
My parents had a Goldne retriever "Bart" and he would bark at any appliance brought into the house, they purchased new washer and dryer and he barked at them for a month
We loved him, even when he got the others barking for no reason at all
One of my cats, Jeremy, is some combination of Homer Simpson and Jabba the Hutt. He eats everything he can cram down his throat, regardless of whether or not it's food. Yeah, he pukes a lot. Once, he had thrown up a plastic leaf, and as I was in the process of cleaning up the mess, I heard a strange noise in the other room. I discovered him eating a book of stamps, not the kind you lick--the kind that come attached to wax paper. He was so angry when I took the stamps away.
Jeremy doesn't groom himself...at all. I found him one night when he was a kitten. He had one side covered in a dark wet substance, and I could see flashes of a bone-colored something in the wet stuff. I thought he had a large open wound and was suprised he could walk. I moved him under a street light so that I could get a better look. The "open wound" was just some pasta. He hadn't bothered to clean it off. Gross cat.

Storm lacks in the smarts department. I love her to death but god is she dumb. I swear she barks at air, any noise and it's a barking fest. My others won't bark unless there is actually someone in my driveway, Oh No Not Storm. Storm has the whole house thinking there is someone here, I'll get up look out and no one here. She won't beleive me so I have to open the front door let her out she will be so scared she'll tuck her tail between her legs, lay her ears back and look up at me like " Do I have to mommy?"
They say American Bulldogs are smart dogs, I think I have the execption!
I have been breeding into my line for soundness and intelligence since I was 18, I am 45 now. Megan takes the cake. She has her own world. I live to serve her needs. She does not routine with the other dogs. She pouts, barks, and begs, depending on her mood. She is more complex, and, I think, less intelligent than most of my girls and boys...
