awwwww

I saw the cutest cockapoo puppies on petfinder.com! I want one! I emailed the adoption agency to see how much the adoption fee is and stuuf. I dont know if i should get another puppy right now but it would be nice if Calvin had a little playmate. When is a good age for Calvin to be to adopt another puppy? He is 4 months old right now.....any thought everyone....i am undecided.

I'm not sure if I would want to raise two pups at the same time. One can be stressful enough. But then again when Oscar was a pup he was very well mannered and potty trained in like 2 weeks. So I could have probably raised another puppy. It all depends on how much extra time you have on your hands. But I know I wouldn't want to have two Great Dane pups at the same time.

It would be vary hard with 2 pups but, you would get the potty training done at once

Well since I am a stay at home mommy for the next year and a half so I have PLENTY of time on my hands. My puppy Calvin is already potty trained....thank god!!! He pooped on the floor about 2 weeks ago but only because I was gone longer than expected and didn't crate him while i was gone. He gets confined to the kitchen when i am gone (there is baby gate) So it was my fault. I still ahven't decided on getting another one.....i keep thinking, will my husband kill me when he gets back from Iraq if i get another one???lol Nah, he won't care. I just don't know if i should or not.....hmmmmm.....i guess i will keep thinknig about it.

I don't know how your hubby could kill you. I mean you are surrounding yourself with cute puppies instead of picking up strange men, LOL

Your little Calvin has such cute fat feet.  Those german shepard you have as pet pals from Scotland are awesome looking. I knew the two with different names had to be from the same household.

We got harry when koda was about four months old and while it was a little tough at times, it wasn't too bad. Koda, like your Calvin, was basically potty trained, so it was alot easier focusing on one dog to train than two. There are difficult aspects of having two pups, but I love it because they have eachother to play with. They are the best of friends. I have heard some peopel say not to get another dog until the first one is six months because they haven't fully bonded with you yet. I dont know if I buy that though. anyone heard of that theory? Anyway, if you have the time I would say go for it IF you want to. Keep us posted on yoru decision!

Don't know about the timing...I've heard that two pups at the same time is a nightmare, but you never know.  If you're there with lots of time, and Calvin is already potty trained, might not be too bad.  Hubby will be so thrilled to see you he won't care WHAT animals come with the package!

I have a cockapoo and he is the best dog...very bright, very easy to train and great little personality.

Post the link so we can look at the little guys!

So cute! I had a cockapoo when I was a child and I still have a soft spot for them...I was actually looking for a cockapoo when I found my schnoodle (no, I only paid $150.00 for her, not $1,500...lol)

Go Erica!

Oh Erica!!! What a doll!!!  I say go for it.  You may have a few rough times, but watching them play together at this age would be so much fun!  I just don't see how someone could drop off a puppy like that.....just so cute.  I say bring her into your forever loving home!  Please keep us updated!

I say no, just because that is how I counsel puppybuyers.
We can discuss the cons of buying another dog when the 1st is yet so young...

KM...

Since you brought that up (and I'm thinking of adding another pup)....
How long do you counsel people to wait?  I definitely won't do anything until Kula is at least a year old, but I'd love to hear the cons and what age you think is good to bring in a friend.

Thanks!

Cathy

Hey Erica, I'm in the same blizzard.  Gotta love CO in the Spring!
It does this every year just as our family gets ready to go on vacation...last year it was four feet the week before we left for Hawaii..YUK!!

Good thing...it's always gone fast!

Can't wait to hear what the outcome is with this pup...she is absolutely adorable.
