I meantion it to Colliemom and she helped me find one close to me.  So thanks Colliemome

 Thumbs Up

Also so if anyone else was thinking about this you can google dogs for service and there is a directory by state. I am sorry dont remember the name.  But most of theses places need donations of any kind it you cant donate a pup.  It takes a lot to raise one of these dogs, up to 12000.00, so they need all the help they can get.

thanks for all the great comments.

Thats fantastic dallasgolden.  Do you get to keep in touch with the trainers during the training I would be curious to see how it goes.

Dallas:

Which do you prefer:  the red goldens or the blondies?

I see the reddish/brownies are being diluted for more blondies....do you like this trend?

A lawyer I worked with hated the dilution.  She specifically bought the reddish/brownies. She said the blondies looked like overweight cockers and she was very upset about the dilution.

Your thoughts?

My male is a dark golden very red, and my female is a light golden.  I have to say i like my males coloring better.  It has more depth to it and just shines better.  My females coat has always looked flat and one dementional, where the males has so many tones to it.  His coat and color just looks so much better.

Dallas..I can really see the color difference when they are side by side..I would have to vote for the deep red ones..my self..I like the really light labs though..but many times changing color changes other things too..so..I dont go just by color..But..cute dogs though...Dallas and thanks for the service dog info..

They lady for laddogs came and pick out her pup today.  She pick on of the little girls, and the only boy was her secong pick.  I told her if he didn't sell I would donate him aswell. And I get email updateds on how the pup is doing and and what the major donors have named her. Jennie the lady that heads up the program is real nice, she was here for about 1 1/2 hours, and told me a lot of stuff about the program and the dogs.  I am really happy about how this all worked out.
Wish her luck guys

Good Luck Goodbyei sure will miss her
