This is horrifying. Gypsy definitely needs any prayers you can spare, and any donations we can drum up. Such sick folks in this world. Karma's a bi**h...somebody better be watching their back.
OMG!! That is just so awful and sad. I can't believe someone would do that. I love my dog to much to even spank him. I would donate but unfortunatly I can't even donate to my own area shelter.
That is absolutely mind numbing. I cannot believe someone could do that to their dog. Unfortunatly, alot of people could care less. As much as I am rooting for her, I think that it is almost inhumane to keep her alive. What kind of life will she have?? Poor Girl.
What has humanity come to?? I can honestly say that I dislike the human race more and more every day. I love animals more than I like most people. Animals would never do such a cruel thing to one another. I agree with you on that one, Katz. As much as I'll root for her, she can't possibly have a very good life after that. She'll prolly be dog aggressive now, and her face will never heal up to look even halfway normal. Not that looks mean a lot to me, but still. Poor thing!! That made me cry!!
If any of you is near Knoxville, TN, you can help by visiting her. Read this.
** crossposted** Hello all, I am helping to spread the news hoping to find someone in that area that can do a huge favor. As you probably all know about Gypsy, the torn apart dog who was mentioned in an earlier post. She is doing well and is going to Knoxville to have re-constructive surgery done on her face. Tri-County Animal Rescue needs some Pit loving people to check in on her in person to see how she is doing, and so she has a friendly face to see Please feel free to email this to anyone you know who can help. Details and contact info are in the message below this one. Ayr
Gypsy's first live television interview went very well--although she did insist on keeping her rubber chicken leg in her mouth! She also made a brief visit to Petsmart. We were impressed by the fact that just about everyone in the store knew who she was!
Gypsy's first night away from the hospital was also very good. She has about 5 or 6 stuffed teddy bears that she MUST have with her to sleep. She also has to have the darn rubber chicken leg!
Gypsy will be leaving for the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in about 10 days. We have a couple of volunteers who are going to deliver her to the clinic, but we'd really like to find someone in the area who would be willing to check-up on her and keep her supplied in rubber chicken legs. If you know anyone who would be interested in helping us out with this, please send an e-mail to tricountyanimalrescue@yahoo.com.

Katz- I couldn't agree more! The people who did this are evil and should be severely punished, but they have not done her any favors! OMG- please put this poor dog out of her misery!!!!
OMG! I feel so bad!! That looks gross, but I would never say that about a dog in trouble! I hope I can donate somehow. That is soo sad. Best wishes and prayers for Gypsy...poor thing.
OMG, that's horrifying. I really don't get how people can do things like that. I admit i didn't read the article, but i looked at the pictures and just about got sick, ew. poor dog
