got this off the Dane forum

THE KISS
This photograph shows a red Doberman kissing an exhausted fireman. He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire. She is pregnant. The firefighter was afraid of her at first, because he had never been around a Doberman before.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest. A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed this red Doberman in the distance looking at the fireman. He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do. As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, when the photographer snapped this photograph.

I hope lots of ignorant people read that article!! Now they will see that dobermans are not bad dogs, but rather very intelligent and loyal companions.

I think Dobermans are awesome dogs. I wouldn't mind owning one someday. But first I gotta get out of my dane and mastiff mood.

LOL, Paige!! "Dane/Mastiff mood" you're silly. Dobes are such wonderful dogs, I can't wait till Brad lets me do rescue for the Doberman Rescue of Nebraska!! I'm just so anxious to have another dobe, I don't care if I'm gonna have to let it go to a new home, as long as I'm helping out and as long as I have a dobe in my house, I don't care about keeping it, I don't think. I'll try not to be selfish about that.

I don't think I could ever foster Danes. I would end up keeping them all. But my goal one day is to have at least 4 danes and maybe a Neapolitan Mastiff thrown in the mix. I just need a bigger house first and maybe a few acres of land.

You know, Paige, we have a lot of the same goals in life!! Except for the "danes" thing. I would want to have dobes and Irish Wolfhounds running around. Always have liked those gentle giants!! Maybe someday, when I win the Lottery!! LOL
