Last summer i didnt have crates for my girls, but this winter i got two. Anyways normally I just put them in their crates and leave, its never hot in the house, i have hardwood floors so if the doors are kept shut it stays cool inside. But im wondering, once summer rolls around and it gets way hot, is leaving the A/C on during the day when im gone going to be enough to keep them cool? I would was thinking of getting crate fans but I know Sydney would find a way to destroy it. I hope having the A/C on during the day will be enough.
I think the AC would be fine too. I also live in a hot state and when I leave the house in the middle of summer I put the air on 75 and Oscar is perfectly fine when we get home. I don't crate him either. But if it worried you, you could always put a floor/box fan about 5 feet from the crate. I'm pretty sure they couldn't reach it.
