Well I went to the flea market today and I saw these lil Hamsters. Yes I know never buy from the flea market but they were just too adorable! I got a male and female, bought them a brand new cage and all. I don't have my digi cam at the moment or I would take pics, when I get it back on Tuesday i'll take some pics and post them!
i bet they are cute ! my kids had a little gray teddy bear hamster they named corky, he was adorable and never bit anyone. did you name them yet? my son had two pet rats when he was a teen.he named them mary and jane . lol . looking forward to seeing pics !
No I haven't givin them names yet. They are only 6 weeks old. May get some more soon, I want some turtles too fill up my empty 10gal tank that I have, who knows what will come first. Right now they are in a basic hamster cage but next pay day i'm going to get them one of those big ones will all the tunnels. They have a wheel that they are fighting over at the moment so I may have to get 2 wheels. I also got some fresh fruit that i'm going to give them. LOL They are going to be just as spoiled as the dogs! I think we are starting a zoo here!
I would love to get Kaitlyn a hampster, but Brad says no. He is such a butthead sometimes. I also want a cat but he still says no. The only other animal me and Brad will ever agree on is either another Dane or a Neo. Mastiff.

HOW TO HANDLE A HUSBAND
A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Their domestic tranquility had long been the talk of the town. "What a peaceful & loving couple". The local newspaper reporter was inquiring as to the secret of their long and happy marriage.
"Well, it dates back to our honeymoon in America, " explained the man. "We visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona and took a trip down to the bottom of the canyon by horse. We hadn't gone too far when my wife's horse stumbled and she almost fell off. My wife looked down at the horse and quietly said, "That's once." "We proceeded a little further and the horse stumbled again, this time causing her to drop her water. Once more my wife quietly said, "That's twice." We hadn't gone a half-mile when the horse stumbled for a third time. My wife quietly removed a revolver from her purse and shot the horse dead.
I shouted at her, "What 's wrong with you, Woman! Why did you shoot the poor animal like that? Are you crazy??"
She looked at me, and quietly said, "That's once."
"And from that moment... we have lived happily ever after."
Congrats on your 2 new little ones! But you had better be planning on getting a 2nd cage. They produce litters quite rapidly and when they do you will need to get the male out of the cage asap. Many, many years ago I used to have long-haired teddy bear hamsters & had alot of litters. It was so long ago that I don't remember the specifics (age at which they can start, how long they carry, etc.) but it was often enough that I never had to pay for the supplies for my 2, 30 gal. freshwater aquariums - the guy that owned the shop & I used to trade baby hamsters for my supplies.
Denise, we made a written agreement with the lady that we bought them off of that when she has babies we can bring them to her for either a payment or supplies. I have plunty of empty fish tanks around so finding somewhere to put the male isn't an issue plus once we get another cage for them we will have the one they are in now.
The female isn't used to being held and she runs everytime we try to pick her up. Today I got her and she jumped right outta my hands and had to chase her down. Storm was a big help LOL she chased her into a corner where I finally caught her. Poor Storm thinks she can play with anything no matter the size, little does she know she'd kill this poor lil thing!
