Step dad needs some prayers!

Last night around 2:30AM my step father had a heart attack at work, once he was addmitted into the hospital they started all kinds of tests and during a stress test he had another. Tomorrow morning he is having bypass surgery. They do not think that these are the first 2 he has had, just the others went unnoticed. Hubby used to work with him and he remembers a night when he was complaing of chest pains and his left arm went numb but did nothing about it. Well last night it was just too much and they took him to the hospital. Say a prayer for him tomorrow morning cause as most of you know bypass surgery isn't anything to laugh at. Thanks guys!

I will keep everyone updated. I'm going to be leaving to go up there soon. I'm waiting for my mother to leave cause she has really upset me with him being in the hospital. She is to worried about who's going to fill in for him at pool, (they play pro pool). She is going to leave him at the hospital just to play pool. Sorry but if that was me nothing could pry me away from that place! She's so stuck on her self it's sad! anyways. Imma take him some dinner, cloths and all that good stuff.

I hope everything will be all right.They have a hospital here now that can do the bypass through a small incision.do they have that where you live?It is alot safer,they say.

Prayers are forthcoming for your step-dad from my house!  With the great advances in medicine today, I know many people who have successfully gone thru by-pass surgery and after their recovery time are able to go back to doing all the things they were able to do prior.  I hope your step-dad has excellent results!

Well I just got home from the hospital. They are not sure what is going to happen tomorrow they are going in to "explore" but if they find a serious blockage then it will be a full blown surgery. If it's just a minor blockage they will clear it when exploring. He's in alot of pain now, his hands are as white as paper, he's shacking really bad. I took my son with me and he tired to play with him and he couldn't even do that cause he was in pain. He tried to cover it up but I can see right threw him. He goes for surgery at 9am tomorrow, if it's nothing serious he will be out prolly by Wednesday morning anything else they do not know. But they aren't saying anything cause they really don't know anything.

Stormy...I wish your Stepdad and family much strenght and well wishes. I hope all comes out well  and it is Gods will that he fully recovers and has no more  eposodes...Please keep us informed...I will send warm happy thought to you as well...I know that you have to be there for all the family..and not an easy place to be in...Good Luck..Take care of your self too...this is a message to you as well as those in your family...We are only here for a limited amount of time..Live and enjoy life and take care of your self and loved ones along the way...

I'm really sorry to hear about your step dads health.  You are right, by-pass is a very serious surgery.  I will definitely be thinking of you and wishing the best for your family.  Any time you need to talk, you know we have lots of furum members here ready to listen.

Well all went well. He is being released as I type this. It wasn't anything too serious. He will be on bed rest for awhile then he can return to his regualr daily life.
