Does forum mods have access to all our personal info and ip address?

Absolutely NOT.  I am the only one who has that access.  They cannot see your IP, only I can.  They can ban a username, but have no idea what your IP is.  As fas as your personal info, they cannot see it.

I set the limitations that they are given and moderators of this forum can:

 edit/delete a post

 edit/delete a thread

 ban a username.

That's it.

I would never, ever put anyone's personal information at risk.

The only way they could see your personal info is if they had your password to log in as you.  The IP's are never displayed on this site.  They are kept in an Administration Panel, which only I have accesss to.  I will never give access to that because my billing info is kept there as well.

When a moderator sees the screen they will see the words "Ban IP", however they never see the IP.  They just ban the username which is associated with it.

Yes, they have to follow the rules that are stated in the Rules thread.  If they ban/edit/delete then they have to give a reason why.

Before banning, I would like them to consult with me first, however, if I'm not available and a troublemaker persists, then I trust their judgement to do what is best for The Furum.  As far as trouble, I like to go with the 3 strikes and your out rule, but that is hard to enforce with multiple moderators.  One may not know that their have been prior problems and such.

There are some offenses that would cause one to be banned immediately, and they are listed in the rules, but I don't forsee any problems with anyone.  Everything is running pretty smooth now.
