kitty litter

Ok what kind of kitty litter do you guys use? I have been using this great litter for a while now when I had just Isabelle, it never smelled, i loved it! But now with 3 cats the litter stinks, even if we clean it, someone will have to go right after!

I need something I can use for multiple cats, that clumps, and the hides the smell. Right now we have to keep the box in the bathroom, there is no where else to put it and it smells so bad, and stinks up the hallway and the rest of the house. Any suggestions?

Good question. I am thinking about taking one of my moms kitties but I need to find a good litter. With all the previous cats I had when I was younger I changed the box once a week and it seemed to keep the smell down. So I need some litter ideas.

I don't like to touch the stuff. I dump the whole box every week, and put fresh. I use Feline Pine. I notice that when you feed certain foods, it smells more when they go. Unfortunately, the food that she likes best is a dollar a can. It is worth it to keep the smell down.

I just use the Walmart brand scoopable litter for my 2 cats.  It starts to smell only if i don't scoop thru it after awhile so i have to dump it all but it seems to keep the small down ok.  I get the big box for like 6.00 and it lasts ok.

i have a cat and am fostering two others. i was using the walmart scoopable kind also  and it worked fine for one cat but not for three. i switched to the scented "scoop away" maximum oder control and it works excellent.i can actually fold the clothes right in the laundry room now because the smell is gone. lol

The litter im using now was so good when it was just Izzy, i could go a week without changing it if i really wanted too and it never smelled, and the box is always easy to clean. But now with the other two it is just aweful, stinks up the whole house. I'm gonna try that pine stuff. I dont think i have a walmart around me.

Any other suggestions? I gotta go buy litter today! :)

I use feline pine I order it from a vet supply catalog it's a little more expensive than traditional kitty litter but it works great I have to change the kitty litter boox far less and people who visit my home swear they would never know I had two cats because there is absolutely NO litter box smell.

I use corncob litter because it is scoopable & flushable. So I scoop everyday and the litterbox is in the bathroom. Very easy. I do only have one kitten though ;)

This is the one I use. http://www.petco.com/product_info.asp?web=0&tab=2&SKU=3186515807&cm_ven=nga&cm_cat=20&cm_pla=3186515807&cm_ite=4589251&CMReferringUrl=http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/search?encquery=7dcc381d3fe5960b38e3c1095da63e64&invocationType=keyword_rollover&ie=UTF-8

This bag lasted me 2 months.

The pine litter gives a bit of a xmas tree scent when you first put it out. I find it is not as painful to step on at 3am...
I get it at Vons. Be sure to save reciepts and proof of purchase from the bags. Go onto their web-site, and download their new, then frequent, buyer rebates. You can get a couple free bags that way. The pet store wretches charge double from the supermarket, and some markets more than others. It is less than $4. a bag.
