EWWWWWYYYYY!!!!!

I was playing tou-o-war with calvin and his ball and i noticed that Calvin has a yucky thing on his mouth. I look almost like a small puss filled zit. It was green. EWWWWWWWW I didnt touch it or anything. It was located right on the left side right under his mouth. Anyone have any ideas of waht this is??? Is it a zit LOL or should i worry? It doesnt look life threatening or anything LOL but i am curious if it is normal or if it happened to anyone elses pets?

Erica I have no idea....does he eat and drink out of plastic bowls? I heard that dogs can get zits from that and that using stainless steal bowls is better.

Is it like under his tounge or on the outside of the floppy skin?  If its near the teeth, then it could be an absess.

Oscar got awful acne on his chin and around his mouth when he was on plastic bowls. But when we  changed to stainless they went away. But I know he didn't have any zits inside his mouth.

I like to use soufle(sp) crocks from the cooking section, bowls like that for my puppers. They look better.

For Oscar food bowl I bought a 15 inch wrought iron plant stand. And then I placed a stainless steel bowl in it. It looks pretty decorative compared to what we used to have. Plus it was only like 10 bucks to make. The plant stand 4.98 at Walmart and the bowl about 6 bucks at the fleamarket. I always shop for good deals. And its a nice bowl too. Real big.

My two have always ate out of stainless steel. They don't crack or rust, so you never have to buy another one, unless you get another dog, lol.

Mine have the stainless bowls with the rubber ring at the buttom so they don't slide on the floor.  I even painted their names on them....lol

Paige-  Great idea!

puttin-

no it isn't in him mouth or on the flappy part. It is actually just under the flappy part in the fur...it looks better today but is still there.
