Well I know that giving animals people food isnt a good idea, depending on what you are giving them of course. Not only can they get sick but then they start begging and i hate that.
So my boyfriend always gave his cat whatever it wanted, if he was eating a pepperoni pizza, he would give him a piece of pepperoni. So that explains his cats begging problems.
Anyways I think my boyfriend learned his lesson lastnight..lol. We had salmon for dinner, i had marinated it in lemon, garlic, oil, and lots of other stuff. He gave his cat some, the whole time i was thinking,"dont do that!" and i should have said something then but its his cat and i didnt want to seem bossy...lol....so he left the plate on the coffee table and the cat started licking it, i grabbed the plate and told my boyfriend, "you probly dont want to let him eat that, he is gonna get sick and its not good for him." So he grabbed the plates and threw them away. 30 min later all the animals kept going to the same spot in the bedroom, i was curious so i went in there and sure enough the cat had thrown up. I told my boyfriend you gotta go clean that mess, and he said"why i didnt do anything wrong?" and I pointed at it and said you fed the cat salmon and pointed out the chunks of salmon...lol....he hates cleaning up that kind of stuff! He learned his lesson, i just thought it was funny, hopefully now he will stop feeding him people food and hopefully he will stop sticking his face in my food when i eat too!
But i do have a question, this little thing got me thinking. Everytime his cat goes poop itstinks!!! and not normal cat stink! We did just switch his food when he moved in and he gets people food from my bf, could that be the cause of the incrediablly gross stinkyness?
he he i hope your boyfriend learned his lesson! Probably not if he is as stubborn as my husband! It will probably take a few times for him to get it LOL.
As for the stinky poo.....Well i know that if i give my cats canned food......YUCK it smells BAD!!! So i am sure the other food has something to do with it.
ooooh i bet its the wet food! We have been giving it as a treat and i have never given Isabelle any before they moved in. I should stop, or only give it once in a while.
