Well, I am not exactly sure how to do this, but couldn't we just have a post and everyone could post their pictures. We set a certain time for people to post the pictures. Once all the pictures are up, I could post a poll and we could vote like that?

I could add a sticky to the post so it would stay at the top until it is completed

OO A Photo contest! I got all ya'll beat! LOL I can come up with some creative ideas as far as themes. Like the most dirtiest dog pic ( Winter and Storm would most def win LOL). Oddest sleeping position (that way Paige has a chance LOL) All dressed up (cloths wise) Cutiest Kid and dog pic, Sitting pretty, laziest dog, Craziest look. OK I'm done for now ya'll get my point.

We used to do this on a forum that I was a mod at. We would have everyone submit several pics then from those we would pic say 5, then have everyone vote. We would usually do this 2 months in advance so that everyone has plunty of time to get the pics, submit them, then have everyone vote. We would pick the themes months in advance also, post them so everyone would know and be ready. So if we were to do it this way we would actually be voting for say Aug, pic of the month now. June would be to get the pics ready, july to pick them and do the voting. I know it sounds long but once it get started it's not as long just actually getting it started is the longest part.

But, if we were to do this we would have to make sure that we would have alot of people sending in pics. If only a few do so then the same dogs\animals will always be winning and that would get pretty boaring.

The little lady at the Phantom Foods shop has agreed to give away 5 lbs of their baked doggie goodies for each winner (one a month).  I could just give the winners email to her she will send you an email for your address.  That way, your personal info stays between you and her.  She has agreed to do this in exchange for a small advertising block here on the forum.  I'll probably place it at the bottom, later on. 

I will also update the stuff about the free samples she is offering to all forum members as soon as the site is back up.  Everyone who is a member here will be given a coupon code and you will email her the code and your address.  She will then send you out a free sample of their baked foods.

its a good way for her to get advertising and (as far as the photo contest) its a great way for the winner to get some treats!

Don't forget, you can have different pets as well.....maybe do dogs one month, then cats, then horses, then ...ahem....fainting goats...lol (j/k).  The more categories of animals you have, the more photos and participants you will get.  Phantom Foods only offers dog food though, so her treats could only work for the months you have dog contests (unless the winner of say...the cat contest has a dog and just wants the treats anyway.....lol)

I'm glad you all are doing this.  This is a positive way to have fun.  Good job to all of you!

Ok Adding a picture from photobucket!!!

Ok when you are looking at your photobucket picture you want to post. take the mouse and touch it to the 3rd line under the picture, it will have img in the very front or left hand side. left click on the img one it will become shaded darker. After you do that, which is called highlighting, then with the mouse click on the right side of the mouse. A list of things will pop up, left click on the word copy. Then come back here to your post and prepare to write, go up to edit , probably in the upper left top of computer. left click and you will see the word paste on the list of things. left click on the word past and then go to preview. Your picture should be there.

OK Everyone lets get this show on the road! We need to come up with a theme for next month so everyone can start getting ready. I'll throw some out and you guys pick from there.
