Bad reaction to frontline plus?

Have any of you ever had a pet react badly to Frontline Plus? I put frontline on Brutus and he seems to have a red itchy line down his back eh? Could it be from the forntline plus? I feel so bad for him he has itched nonstop since I put it on last night! I bathed him but I read that the stuff is water proof so im not sure it helped any.

It could very well be a reaction to the Frontline. Where did you get the Frontline? Go to this link to see if it is the stuff marketed for the US: http://www.frontline.com/epa/
If it doesnt' look like the US packaging, you purchased the stuff to be marketed overseas and their dosages are different.

To wash out the Frontline, you need a dishwashing soap like Dawn that will cut through the oil. You may need to wash him 2-3 times to get rid of it all.

Thank You Crestie for your reply. I contacted the er vet and he said that if it is a reaction to the frontline that it wouldn't be anything fatal just uncomfortable. Thanks again.

some dogs are more sensitive to certain products than others. i know a couple of people that have dogs that had a reaction to it. my vet reccomended advantage for my frenchies. who are a breed prone to allergies. i have been using that on them and have had no problems.
