Yesterday we went to Amicola River. We walked on a nature trail (longer trail than we thought, especially for the guy carrying the large cooler of beer) and swam in the river and sat around on the big rocks. We brought the small grill and cooked out.
Manson wasn't really that thrilled about swimming, but I made him do it anyway (exercise) and he sat on the rocks shivering until he dried off. I don't know why though because it was VERY hot out. He WAS thrilled about the scraps from our steak. He was a pleasure to have with us but unfortunately, since his big fight with Bosco, he is no longer happy to meet other dogs. I can deal with it, but it's just easier if you can take your dog out to places that there are dogs and not have to worry.
Sounds like you guys had lots of fun!! Except for the guy carrying the cooler full of beer, LOL. I'm glad Manson was able to get out and enjoy being with you and your family. I wish we got to do more things like that.
I know how you feel Mollie. Me and Brad never do anything together. We have been together for 5 years and still haven't gone a vacation. Poor me!!! But its hard to find time with a 3 year old. But next year when I quit my job we plan on going somewhere.
Sounds fun. I was reminising about the Missouri river last night. I don't think you can swim in it[too big, and fast]. We did some rafting on the Colorado when I was a kid. Some poor guy drowned here in the mountain runoff recently, because it was too fast flowing Guess ya gotta pick the spot purty careful. Glad Manson had a good one. Kitty's mom, Phoenix, used to shiver a lot. She loved to swim. She did not have real thick fur. They get exhausted too, and that causes shivering. Esp. the climb out of the water is tough.
