So Ivan's foot has been bothering him for the past three weeks. He would just sit there and lick at it and lick at it. So I took him into the vet yesterday. Poor little guy came home with a Cone on his head. Now he is on antibiotics, cream, and a soak....each 3 times a day. And he has to wear the cone for a week. He is sooo embarassed. It is rather funny though, he is still getting the hang of lifting his head up higher while he walks. He has been getting it caught on the ground, and running into things. The most sad (but funniest) part about it is that Borris is scared of him. He was so funny running away from Ivan all night last night. Hopefully he will be all better soon.
That sounds like my dog, though he had to wear the cone for two weeks, he had a bad gash on his pad. Then right when it was getting time to take off the cone and bandage he got sprayed by a skunk. He had burns around his mouth and muzzle and he would irritate it more by rubbing it into the carpet, so the cone stayed on for nearly two more weeks.
