Anybody give there Pit a whole Cocoanut?

Any body tried that before?  I was talking to my neighbor last night who owns the sweetest most beutiful Brindle Pit named Timber.  Well the owner of  Timber says she drains the milk out of it, then she gives it to him.  It takes about 3 days and then he eats in insides out, and she said the hairy shell flosses the teeth and removes tarter!  Anybody know if this could be not good, or dangerous?  I would like to try it with Mia, I would like some opinions first though!!!

Anybody else becides Paige gonna answer any of my posts in the last two days!  If anybody has ever heard of this please comment!  If not I guess I can call my vet on Monday and ask them!  But I think it might be fun for Mia, and frankly I want to see if she can break one open before Timber!  She has way bigger cheek muscles then Timber!

Sorry, never heard of it. Sounds like a good idea. Only problem is if the shell breaks in shards, they would eat those and perforate a gut somewhere. I was thinking to give mine big 4x4x1ft. wood blocks to mess around with.

I have only seen it on t.v. a pit I think it was too. I don't know how healthy it is. I always thought the shells were very hard.

Well nobody has told me it could it would be harmful if ingested, so I think I may give it a try!  I think it will be a challenge!  Mia only likes certain things, so maybe she wont even be interested but I think I will have to give it a try!  By the way correction to my previous post!  Timber I was told tonite, is a Am. Staff!  Timbers owner said OH NO_ Pits have a much more square jaw!  I think to me I have seen many pics of those 2 breeds, they look pretty much the same to me!  He is an awesome dog, and just confirms my opinion that if they have proper training and socialization, they are great dogs!  My Pug Holly snapped at Timber!  So funny that Holly thinks she is so tough! Timber ran away with his tail between his legs, and head way down!  It was so funny everytime little 12 LB. Holly walked by Timber put his head down and tried not to look at Holly!  Bossy little Holly really had us laughing tonite!

Amstaff and APBT are pretty much the same. Amstaff is more bred for show, APBT more for gameness. SBT (Staffordshire bull terrier) is also pretty much the same breed. LOL I know this doesn't have anything to do with coconuts... But many dogs are registered with AKC as amstaffs and ALSO with UKC as APBT. Same dog, two different registries, two different breed names. Here's a great link about the confusion between the 3 breeds.

Nope, the avatar pic. is Mia, and she is MY very sweet pretty girl who I want to try giving the coconut to!  Timber is a very handsome Staffordshire Terrier-not a pit like I thought!  Although I think they are very similar.  Thanks for the compliment-Mia looks good in all her pics!  Very photogenic girl!
