We've been bad too, Syd!!

Well, as some of you know, we were having some problems getting the Humane Society near us to give a doberman to the Doberman Rescue of Nebraska. They weren't going to give or "sell" her to the rescue, despite emails sent to them by myself and Alice, the director of the Rescue. Well..........................after talking with Alice about it, I decided that Brad and I would go down to the shelter and see her. She was sooooo sweet!! We played with her for a while, she chased a ball around, and played tug-o-war with a rope toy. We also walked her, she does pull a lot, she is a very strong dog, despite her size. She is a year old and no crop, but docked, good with dogs, and kids of all ages. She looks very petite, but I think it's just because she's going thru the "puppy ugly" stage, lol. She's very lanky and all legs. She weighs 67lbs right now and is just a doll!!! I want to get her sooo bad!! We told the ppl at the HS that we would bring Mollie and Chopper in tomorrow to see how they get along. They said to call first, to see if she's still there, HOW RUDE!! But I s'pose they can't "hold" her, unless they have a definite yes or no and or some money down. I hope they still have her, I think we'll just go over there right when they open at noon and see, not call. Well, wish us luck for tomorrow!! I hope the other two get along with her!! Hope they even still have her...........yikes!!

Your hubby said last night in chat ya'll were going over there today to see her! He He I told him he needed to let you have your Dobie cause he's leaving! LOL.


Good luck tomorrow! Hope all goes well! Now if you get her you know you have to come home and get right on here and tell us! You know we can't wait!

OK, it's 9am and no, we haven't been there yet, hehe. But I can't sleep anymore and it's driving me crazy!! I want to go there soooo bad!! I called them just before closing time last nite and they still had her, so she should still be there when we get there this noon. I'm excited, but I hope Mollie and Chopper get along with her!!! Sorry we weren't on much yesterday, had company over for the "open house/housewarming" dealy. It went well. Mainly family, a few friends, but really went well. So we didn't have much time to be spending on the computer, lol. Will let you know as soon as we get home!! Wish us luck!!

LMMFAO!!! I know I am!! Everyone, just be glad that you weren't in chat with me tonite. I asked Stormy and Shiny and Exorcist if they wanted to know and I just kept em waiting and waiting and waiting!!! I filled the chat with suspense, let me tell you!! I had them eating out of my hands!! HAHAHA!!

But anywho, we did get her. Well, we filled out the paperwork and paid for her and she's still there, waiting to get her staples out from her spay last Monday. They'll take her in to their vet and have him take out the staples and there's a volunteer for the H.S. that lives in my town and she's gonna deliver her to me!! Sometime tomorrow, after 2pm, after she and I both get off work. I'm assuming she'll be here by like 4?? I dunno, all I know is that I have to work at 9:30am till 1:30pm and get the dog sometime between there and then go back to work at 5pm-8pm. What a sucky day!! But oh well, at least she'll be safe and at home with us.

She's a doll!! Let me tell you!! She's kinda in her puppy ugly stage, where she's all legs and all gangly and uncoordinated, you know. She's got big ol floppy ears and a smile that just doesn't go away!! She got along great with Chopper today when we took him and Mollie to see her, and Mollie just kind of ignored her, which is the same treatment Eli got from her, lol.

Yes, I will take pics as soon as we get her, and post them for all to see!! Don't worry!! lol. And I'll get her dogster page up and running as well, maybe after I get off work tomorrow nite. I don't think I wanna spend my afternoon taking pictures and playing on the puter when we get her!! I'll wait till either tomorrow nite or Tuesday morning. Until then, here's her petfinder page, they don't waste any time updating that website!! lol
