Sorry......

If i am not on as much lately, i'm sorry....hehe  The trainer at the boarding place where my horse is agreed to help me train her so i have been there everyday for like 8 hours!!  We are making major progress and i will ride this horse yet.....lol  She also didn't get pregnant last time so we just tried again.  Hopefully she is this time.  Just wanted to let you all know.

Cool.
Good Luck.
I have not had time to scratch my #ss either. Where does all the time go...
Give her a roller bit, they come straight or curved, depending on the correction, and fill it with peanut butter. Keeps them real busy.

Good luck with Rain. Pretty soon you will be running across a field with her. Unless she gets knocked up.

Still gotta run across fields, at least for 9 mos. or so. Gotta stay in shape to have healthy fillys...

Oh I know they have to stay in shape. My dad used to breed and we would just go out and exercise then, not ride them. I will never forget watching my first colt being born. It was something else.

Well, today she made a big breakthru and was totally relaxed while we rubbed a noisy 'ol plastic bag all over her.  She used to bolt (only 2 days ago) if the bag even made a slight sound.  She even had her back foot cocked up at rest while we did it and she licked her lips which is a sign of total comfort.  The trainer says i'll be riding her in 2 weeks!  I am scared......lol  We will take it casually and not rush it.  It is definately wearing me out working in this 100 degree weather.  We all have to stop and take several breaks to cool off....lol

Don't you hate working outside when its so hot? Yesterday the heat index was 108 and very humid. And I had to do yard work. It was awful. Usually it takes me about half and hour to mow and it took me a little over an hour. I felt like I couldn't breath out there.

Its great though that you are making such good progress with her.

Oh yeah!  The heat drains me......lol  It's not very humid here but it's still hot.  I am so happy that she is learning this stuff.  No one cared to tech her before.  Once she gets over her fear of EVERYTHING..lol...she will be a blast to ride.

Isn't it cooler at night? I used to train at night. The horse has to trust you because they don't see well, we just did ring work at night. I used to play music...
