i say yeah !!!! they let o.j. off when he was guilty as sin of murder. it wouldnt be fair to charge michael when they didnt even have enough evidence . so i am glad for him . hopefully he will get some counseling for his issues, but i dont think he is a bad guy.
i do wish they coud have waited until the end of days of our lives though
It has taken over my TV as well. Oh well, Dr. Phil was a re-run, lol
I don't know how I feel about this whole thing. But apparently, the prosecution did not do a good enough job of proving he did anything wrong, so there couldn't have been enough evidence. Which makes you wonder as to the motive of the people who accused him. So hopefully, if he is innocent, he learns his lesson and doesn't let people take advantage of him and put himself in sticky situations any longer...

You probably think that all of the catholic priests in the Boston diocese sex abuse scandal were "not bad guys either"! How old are you and do you have any children, particularly sons?
Can you really look yourself in the mirror and compare this to OJ getting off and say with a straight face that "it wouldn't be fair to charge Michael, because they didn't charge OJ". Holy smokes, I can't believe what I am reading.
You better sit down with a bottle of "Jesus juice" tonight and pray that the bedroom at Neverland is nevermore and that someone that you know or love doesn't get asked to play in a game of lion tamer or pearl harbor with a guy like Michael.
i am old enough and do you know how to read ? i said they didnt convict o.j when they HAD evidence. why would they convict michael when they DIDNT have evidence. i have 6 children and if i felt someome was a child molester i darn sure wouldnt be allowing my child to spend any time with him,let alone spend the night !
Well, I get my news here from you guys. I swear I watch an hour of tv a week. What a trip. I thought that it would drag on forever. That was quick to get to a verdict so fast. Hey speaking of news, we had an earthquake yesterday. I guess it knocked around the Indian casinos, in the desert. They were practically on top of it. Me, it felt like somebody was bumping my bed, spooky. I had to get up for a bit to hear where it was at, and reassure myself that it would not start up again. I am right on a fault line, and when that puppy blows, all heck breaks loose... Well, good for Michael...hope he tones down his behavior and his new Islamic friends keep him in line...
I have to say that I am disapointed over the verdit, but I'm not shocked. I wish he would have gotten at least one guilty charge. Like for the under age drinking. And I personally feel like if this was happening to some average joe he would be behind bars now.

T in T
TnT,
the difference being..... There was barely any evidence! Some of the witnesses they had to testify have been know to lie before. Dont think for one second that i agree with his actions or think he is innocent. I was p*ssed that he was not guilty. i hoped he was guilty so he could rot and be someone else's "play thing" but bashing on Dusty for saying that it was a fair trial based on evidence... come on buddy, back off her a little bit. What the priests in boston did was wrong and the priest's should no longer be allowed to carry on there profession. I guess the difference i see between the two cases is millions of dollars in settlements. those families for the jackson case were moneygrubbers.

Finally!!!! I was tired of all of it, I say they just need to get over it. If it happened in 1993, you should have done something then instead of waiting 12 years. Looks like, to me, all these people want is money. We don't know the whole entire case detail by detail so, we will never know what REALLY happened. Only MJ knows. =) I love MJ's old music, I jam to it all the time! :):)
THANX MUNDANE !!!! . tnt was rather rude ,but i wasnt in "neverland" myself ,so i dont know what went on. and i dont think anyone should be convicted unless it is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. and it just seems to me if they had any real evidence, he wouldnt be free right now.
Dusty, that's how I feel as well. I really have no clue what I think. Sometimes I wonder if he was guilty, and other times I think he was being scammed on. But either way, the prosecution didn't present enough evidence, and that's the most important thing. I have been on a jury before and they really stress that. That it's not a feeling you have, or personal feelings on the matter or whatnot...its whether the prosecution can convince you that they absolutely did it without you having any doubt.

I think he is guilty. Just too much inappropriate things going on.
However, there just was not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he molested anyone. A very difficult thing to prove, kind of like trying to prove a rape happened in the privacy of a bedroom years after it happened. As much as I would like to see him held accountable for his actions, I am thankful to live in a country where we have a judicial system that also works first and foremost to not prosecute unless the crime is proven beyond a reasonable doubt. With things that happen in a private place, it would indeed be easy for a person to accuse someone for spite or for money, or even for attention. Not just a rich someone like MJ, but a teacher they were mad at or a boyfriend someone was angry at. It is good to know that our system provides protection against that. Though it isn't perfect.
Anyone that allows their child to hang out and snuggle with MJ at this point needs their head examined... Well, anyone that let them hang out after the FIRST allegations of child molestation, actually.
I can tell you what he is guilty of, he is guilty of being a complete moron. Personally, I think he is very ill mentally. I wasn't convinced he needed to rot in jail (unless it was proven he was guilty) but I can't believe he is getting away without mental help.
You don't pay 23 million dollars to shut someone up when the public already knew what was going on. If you are not guilty and the word is being passed around...you fight it right then for your rights and prove your innocence. You don't pay unless you know you are guilty of "something". Even if it was just innapropriate thought process, he knew he was in trouble. There is so much to this story that just doesn't make sense.
Stupid parents are a huge issue in my eyes. My child wouldn't spend a day alone with this man in a million years. No way. Not ever. It is amazing how the power of money can make some people completely brain dead. AND I must say that the mother of that child destroyed this case. What a whacko. How can the jury trust her at all with all the crap she had done using her child?????? Lame!
Sorry, I was very angry over all this crap. I am so tired of innocent childrens lives being ruined because of sick adults....including the ones involved with those so called priests!!
You may not be able to compare the OJ case or Blake case to this completely...but honestly....just another California joke!!!!
My son is 13 and at the dinner table, right after the reading of the verdicts this is EXACTLY what he said, made me sick to know this is the message our children get!
"So, if you want to molest children or murder your spouse in America, all I have to do is go to California and become a star....then I can do what I want"
Man, did I set the record straight on that one. I know he was joking, but there are plenty of nut jobs out there to start thinking that way.
Another similar, yet different situation is Robert Downey Jr.....how many times has he been in the court room and basically he walks out every time. Would that have happened in your state with you?? Doubt it.
Hey, here's another thought. If the police came in your home and found kiddie porn...would you spend time in jail??? ABSOLUTELY.....and that was never an issue for MJ??!! What a joke.
I totally agree, MPP. He is a sick man and the parents are all sick for letting their kids spend the night with an accused child molester!! He needs some real mental help for all this!! Totally agreed with the Robert Downey, JR thing, and with the kiddie porn at MJ's house. Totally not appropriate!!! I do tire of the judicial system's readiness to let celebrities off the hook, no matter what they do. It actually sickens me!! Why the heck do they get off so easily, when a "lesser person" would be thrown in jail so fast, it would make your head spin?? I know it's kind of a touchy subject, but I don't think they had enough evidence to convict Scott Peterson, beyond a resonable doubt either. Just all coincidental evidence is all. I believe he was guilty and am glad he was convicted, but I just dont believe they were convinced because of the evidence, there wasn't enough solid evidence to convict him. Oh well, I guess they'll all be sorry when MJ molests another kid, or is found with more kiddie porn and things like that. They'll all be sorry someday!!
well its over and done now. its hard to believe it took ten years to get settled
did you hear about the big party mj had to celebrate his court victory ? the news vans couldnt even get close to his house because of all the "big wheels" parked in his driveway !
Jay Leno had footage of the household staff turning out to greet the victorious MJ, it showed a bunch of adolescent boys, running thru the woods in their boxers.
