Water Puppy!

So i've noticed with Tiki every time she goes to get a drink of water she has to put AT LEAST one paw in the water bowl.  Usually though she tends to dip all four of them on her way through, if not then just the front two.  Its quite amusing to watch but very frustrating as she's soaking the carpet throughout the apartment!!!!   Does anyone else have a dog that does this???

I don't have a dog that does this but I have 2 big dogs who insist on putting a bowl full of water in their mouths but not swallowing it and letting it drip out on the floor as they walk around.  I don't have carpet.  I have hardwood, tile, and marble.  You have to really watch your step.  The baby slips all of the time.  It's so annoying.

I use big lix-it water bottles with a bucket underneath, to catch the drips, to prevent that problem...

I use the lix-it bottle in Zoe's cage but I don't use the cages for all of them.  Especially not for my wonderful Toby and Tucker unless they play in the cage with Zoe.  I thought about using the lix-it bottles instead of bowls but I don't know where I would put them.  The water bowls sit next to the island.  I just can't decide where I would hook the bottles.

You can hook them to the outside of the cage, although they may look like a chew toy to some dogs. You could put a couple boards together, like a cat's scratching post, and strap it to that, too.
