jas- i questioned you in chat last night when it was just you and i? who else has questioned this? if you had not posted this, no one else would have even known there was a question?

I asked because I was curious...the first night you were in chat, I asked if you were a baseball player because your name is the same as a "male" baseball player.....

and then for me to find out last night you were a girl, I was surprised.

again, why do you think anyone is questioning it???

I apologize. I do NOT remember you telling me that you were a woman... I must have completely missed that, because I would surely have remembered that someone named Jason was a woman... Sorry that I missed that in our chat conversation...lol

the only way to know my name is jason is to look at my profile. because i go by jas all my family and friends call me jas. i know some of you dont want me here im not stupid i realize that when i come into chat and everyone leaves its because you dont want to talk to me. do all newer members get treated this way or just me?

Hi Jas, I have always assumed you were a women. I never asked. You can tell from the way you talk that you are a women. I think I remember you speaking of your hubby too.

pitsanddobs actually there was an entire posting which was made specifically about not liking me or wanting me here. i have gotten over that though after eveyone explained the reasons behind those postings. but then i am questioned about my name? it was pointed out to me that the admin at the terrific pets forum is also named jason and that it was odd that my name is jason. i dont find that odd at all because i know lots of jasons. i admit i dont know any other women named jason but i have my parents to thank for that.

I was one of the ones that questioned you and I apologized and begged you to stay. I am really sorry for questioning you. I was surprised when you said something in chat that you were a female. I don't read every thread (which I should!) so I must have just missed the ones where you were talking about your husband or maybe I read it and it didn't click until I was in chat. I didn't want any trouble to start out of this!!! Please don't let it!

Wow i just wanted to tell you that i think it is cool that your name is Jason and you are a woman. My parents almost named me Ryan even though i am a girl and my sister was going to name her daughter Jordan. I think it is neat and original!!!! Just wanted to tell you that!!!

To clarify, I asked Jas about this because a member PM'd me with the question. It was not jawlaw or pitsanddobes. I tried to be very polite in my PM and just wanted to give Jas the opportunity to clear up any confusion so that we could all move forward.

My mothers name is Johnnie, so I know how it is.....but here, due to all tht happened, I just didn't want anyone thinking Jas was someone else and only she could clarify that.

I met a girl named Ryan at the restuarant this week. She is the most outgoing and pleasant person. I guess gender crossed names give you a strong sense of who you are because it's for darn sure nobody else is gonna get it right.

Working with foreigners as I do, I have met several men named Michelle, and a guy from India named Shari.
Wouln't surprize me a bit, girl named Jason...that's pretty much your business though. I don't much care WHO or what I am talking to as long as they have anything interesting to talk about...

I have trouble even remembering who has what pets...

jas..jason...there is an old saying call me any thing but late for dinner...and my ex named one of his gshp jakes late for dinner..lol..i personally dont care what your name is or if your n=man women or beast..your ok in my book...i have never seen you post a bad thing or any thing..dont let stuff like that bother you...just do your thing...and you cant take stuff any one says either in a thread, pricvate message or in a secret folder personally...you just cant...your hear for all the right resaons and just have fun..who cares what one or two people might say or think..i have been on the sh*@ list before too...i dont care..and it is a memory now...so...get back on that keyboard and post girl...

I have actually always thought the name Jason was a rather feminine sounding name for a guy. Dare I tell my brother that, NOT. He just named his baby Jason. Had a neighbor gal across the street named Micheal. LOL I'm sure when they had people read their names they were thought to be a gay couple. I'm sure their are people that think my hubby and I are a female couple. His hair is longer than mine. We did have a car speed up to look in our car, boy were those guys embarassed wheen they saw my hubbys goatee. LOL Jas we love you here.

Like I said before, I'm glad to have you here. You do have a very unique name for a female, but now that I think of it in that way, it's pretty!

Remember the song a boy named Sue by Johnny Cash? The kid wanted to beat his dad's butt until he finally caught up to his dad and his dad explained that he knew he was not going to be around to make sure he grew up to be a man. He gave his son this name to ensure that he would be "tough" even growing up without a father. I don't mean that you relate to the song in that way, Jas, but your name reminded me of that.
