Well after spending all day yesterday sitting home waiting for them to come & speaking with them on the phone 4 times & being assured they were coming, to still not have A/C last night needless to say I was fuming. I started calling them at 7:45 AM and called all 3 phone #'s I had multiple times today leaving my name & phone #. No return call to be had.
By the time I got out of work tonight I was so teed off I drove to where their offices are and as I pulled around the building a guy was just locking the door & heading for his truck. I jumped out, said excuse me & proceeded by apologizing if he wasn't the one to be blaming but I let out all of my frustration. I think he may have been a little shell shocked.
He then proceeded to say he'd follow me to my house right then & get it working. An hour later I am pleased to say I have A/C and he took $50 off my bill for the aggravation they caused. I probably could have demanded more but the orig. bill was only $230 & I am sooooo glad to have the A/C working. Persistance paid off but you can bet I will never, ever call them again. I will find another company for any future work.
Good for you! I can't stand to be hot either! Luckily I have a very nice and honest a/c man. When he says something is wrong, I can trust him... I like that because I can call him out without worrying that he is going to mess me around. The only bad thing about him is he is an older man and he talks a whole lot! lol
lol....I can only imagine the look on that guys face when you jumped out of your car! I bet he thought a bear cat had done come after him!!!...lol
Living without AC in extreme weather can de deadly for some people. They didn't know what kind of circumstances you had and should have been more professional about it. You could have had a sick, disabled, or elderly family member there for all they know. If they couldn't get to you then they should have referred you to another company.
I don't like companies who do that, so Im glad to hear that you'll be taking your business elsewhere in the future.
I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago. Except my A/C had been out since may but it was cool enough that we didn't need the A/C but when we tried to turn it on it wouldn't turn on. SO we called and called and called and finally we gat a friend that works on A/C's for a living to come out and fix it when ever he had time. And man am I glad he got it fixed cause the next day it started to get into the upper 90's. man you got to hate having no A/C in an early texas heat wave.
