Mollie! I got my hair done yesterday! It took 8 hours!!!!!! Anyway I dont know if I like it. She striped my hair, and then did my roots, then stripped my hair agian cause there was still color in it, then did the roots agian. By the second time of doing the roots my scalp started hurting but it went away. Then she was applying the actual color and put the color all over my roots, but by then my scalp couldnt take it anymore! It hurt so bad and the pain wouldnt go away this time, so she rinsed it out and was able to do all my hair, just did the roots. I left there happy, cause it looked fine to me even though we coldnt finish, but then i got home and noticed some orange, but not bright orange, nd just a little bit, it also looked too light to me, but then agian i have never gotten my hair dyed blonde before, so i have to get use to it i guess. What I am also not use to is having no roots...lol...everytime i have ever gotten my hair done I have had some sort of root, but this time i dont, so i have to get use to that too. I feel like I look weird. Maybe I will take a picture and post it so you can see.
I hope that it looks normal and because I'm not use to it is why I think it doesnt look so good. Ohwell. I didnt kow it was such a process, i also didnt know it gets painful. My poor scalp needs a break...lol...i think it hates me!
Oh I also wanted to ask, is there a way to take out the orange parts? Is it safe for me to color my hair myself once my scalp feels better? As i said before its not very noticable, the orange part, but i notice it cause it is in my hair. I wanted to look natural and I feel i dont.
Here are some pics...the lighting isnt so great so the pictures arnt so good, but in the one where you see my ponytail, it looks orangish doesnt it?
8 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I've never done anything that took even close to that amount of time before, not even when I was in beauty school!! I dont' know if I'd color my hair myself after all that. Especially since it took her SOOO LONG to do it. I would let it grow out for AT LEAST a month before even thinking about doing anything more to it. There is a special shampoo you can buy to help get the orange out. Should be some sort of "whitening" or "brightening" shampoo. I know Matrix makes one called So Silver, used to get yellowy-orangey out of hair. Use that once or twice a week and the orange should fade out. I'm sorry, I didn't know it would take ANYONE that long to do some hair!! I feel bad now for telling you that it would only take 3 or so hours But, then again, I never saw your hair before you did it, with the brown and such, and you said she's been doing your hair forever, so she knows it a whole lot better than I!! I think your hair does look just a tad orangey, but it will fade if you use that shampoo. DO NOT use it more than once, maybe twice a week!! It will turn your hair purple if you do!! Hope this helps!! The reason it may have turned out orangey is because you already had color on it, right?? I don't think it looks so bad, just looks like you've got different colors of highlights in it.
Thanks Mollie! I'm gonna try that So Silver stuff, can i get that at any bueaty supply store? She told me not to wash my hair for as long as i can stand it, so probly a couple days or so, when i wash my hair for the first time can i use the So Silver? And then i do it once a week?
Thanks agian Mollie! I'm going to go on a hunt for that stuff today...lol...other then then orangish color i think i juse need to get use to it!
Hey, anytime!! Yes, you can get it at Peels beauty supply store, I dont' know if you can get it at Sally's though. They don't seem to have as much stuff as Peels does. Or you could go to any salon, most carry Matrix products, or could order them for you. Good luck in your search!!
Ooohh! I think it is a really pretty color. Looks like my hair when I was younger and it was naturally blonde..lol. Mine always had many different colors in it. It looked like I highlighted it even when I didn't...lol
I think it looks okay. I wish I could go back blond but that would take forever to get light again. I was once stuck at a beauty shop for 6 hours too because I was going from violet purple to blond. I had to strip my hair twice and then dye it. I swear I will never do that again.
