have fun ! i went there years ago and was so glad to get back home. i have never seen so many huge bugs and spiders in my life. i laid on the grass and got chiggers, and then a june bug stuck to my thigh, and the biggest spider i ever saw crawled across my pillow one night. we have bugs here in washington, but i swear the bugs in oklahoma are all on steroids or something.
LMAO!!!! Dusty, you should be here when we get swarmed by Trantillas(ap) I swear you can't drive down the road without running over a million of them. I used to catch them and bring them home. Boy did my mom love that. LOL!!!
i will definately pass on the spiders. i saw some big hairy spiders when i was down there. it was in the 100 degrees and i thought i was dying. i was also 6 months pregnant with my first and used to 60-70 degree weather. so my first day there i had to take a bath in bleach because they forgot to tell me what chiggers were.and i had to find out the hard way.then i scared my in-laws when i felt a lump on my thigh under my wrap around skirt. luckily i had a bathing suit on underneath as i did a strip while screaming and knocking everything off the table trying to get whatever was stuck to my leg off. then my mother in law acts like it was no big deal by saying. oh my lord, all that carrying on and it was just an old june bug. i went out one day to the road to get something out of our car and a huge hairy spider was right by my foot and it lifted its front legs at me and i "carried on" yet again.and i also saw the biggest roaches i've ever seen in my life. i swear they have could carry a whole loaf of bread, which is probably why they had to keep it in a plastic container. the best time i had there was driving off on our way home. i had visions of giant bugs waving goodby and laughing at me of as we were leaving .
