You really need to do all the health test for them to decide if they are even good breeding material. And I am not just meaning to get your vet to just do a checkup either. But I am not a breeder, nor do I plan on breeding. I am a firm believer though of only breeding the perfect speciman of the breed. I just don't know...
Well I'm talking about as in view only. Let me say the question in a different way. Do you thing that the puppy's would look right since trinity and cole look so different from each other?
I'm sure they would look just fine. Dobies are kind of like Danes. There are two different types of Danes. (American and European) The Euro danes are far more massive than the American. Almost mastiffy looking.

I dont know a huge amount about breeding but as you are asking purely on just how they look then i think that you will end up with definately the larger sized dobies as they are both from american bloodlines (europeans ones are not so large). When professional breeders, breed they usually breed to maintain certain characteristics which they feel is most true to the kennel club standards and true to the breed as anything less would not be accepted. ( although they still make great pets etc ) So it all depends on what you are trying to achieve i.e show standard dogs or dobies for people who do not wish to show or breed in the future .. Were you planning on breeding or just curious?
I'm planning on breeding sometime next year. I'm trying to get size and temperment. Thats about all I have decided on but like I said I'm not breeding till next year so that could change.
i thought you said you had gotten trinity from a shelter,if so, then she is not registered. dobes tend to have large litters.are you going to be able to find homes for all the pups? i am not trying to sound negative ,but yes you can sell the pups as purebreds, but without being able to provide papers, you are more than likely not going to be able to sell the puppies easily.i really dont understand why you would want to breed her. i myself would not breed any dogs that didnt have papers on both parents.and you can also run into some vet cost with your female.she will need vet care during and after her pregnancy and then the cost of shots, worming and tail docking per pup.it can end up being more costly than what you would be able to sell the pups for. talk to a vet beforehand and get an estimate as to what you are looking at cost wise. you might find that it is not worth it. and also what you are going to do with the pups that dont find homes. i would get breeding a very serious thought.
No i got trinity from a breeder it was my mothers dog loki that i got from a shelter
I already have vet plans. Trinity will not be giving brith at my house I'm going to a vets office that specializes in birth. It will cost more but it would be better in my minds to have the vets right there incase something did go wrong.
