Question?

I have no one around at the moment to ask so I thought I would post it and hopefully get a response soon, cause im going crazy.

Earlier this week I posted about how severly itchy I am. I dont know if it is an allergy or something else. The only part of me that doesnt itch is my face and lower arms. I was thinking maybe it was the new dryer sheets so i stopped using them but im still itchy.

Today I noticed that becuase I am scratching SO much, i I have marked up my body with long red marks that wont go away, and I have brusies all over my legs from scratching. I have to stop scratching but the area that iches is so uncomfortable and hurts until I scratch.

So this is my question. I have some Benadryl. I really want to take some to see if it will make the itching stop or at least help it so i dont scratch any more. Will it be ok to take Benadryl since I am not certain it is allergies that is causing this? I need some kind of relief.

I am going to be going to an allergist soon, i just dont know when, im going with my mom so she is making the appt.

If it were me I'd definitely try the Benadryl!  You can also buy over the counter ointments that can help relieve the itchy!  If you are scratching yourself itching you might want to try putting on a pair of light gloves - it will help!

another thing that works wonders for itching is an oatmeal bath. you can find it in most stores. it comes in packets that you add to your bath water. i buy it for one of my daughters as she has occasional bouts with hives.it works wonders for her.
