first pictures of kittens!

I will add more as they are born but here is our first new baby!

Miss Coffee is the proud momma of a beautiful baby boy! She had the first one under my computer desk and has since been moved to her permanent spot in my bedroom with clean blankies and fresh food and water!

Question though do I need to worry about my male cat hurting the kittens? We have had kittens before but never with a male in the house. He is NOT the daddy he is snipped. He likes to hunt but never hunts anything but birds and mice. Also does anyone know if this kitten looks a normal size? We have as I said had kittens before but never newborns from day one. I can tell you all about dogs but cats I am rusty with any help would be appreciated.

Ok lol now for the pictures....

here are the latest!!!

Coffe with her three babies.... Cream, Sugar and and lil "T" LOL J/K Any ideas on names???

And the three babies again!

Precious!  Congrats!

Many, many years ago we had a litter of kittens too.  It was a rescue that we didn't know was pregnant.  If my memory serves me right (which I'm not guaranteeing) size-wise the little one looks OK.  We didn't have a male cat in the house so I don't have an answer for you on that question.

One thing I found was that I couldn't count on where I'd find momma & the babies.  If she felt insecure where  they were I would find that I had to go on a hunt to see where she had moved everyone.

That kitten is sooo cute. Pits if you have any questions about the babies you should go to this site thecatsite.com...it has a section for birthing and taking care of kittens. Its a great site for any cat problems/questions you might have, I post most of my cat questions there, you should check it out.

oh ty kitty.

Hey question???

What do I do about fleas on the kittens? I mean mom has frontline on but the babies can stil get fleas from her if she carries them to the babies. I saw a few fleas on the babies and of course got every one i could catch but I know pups can ged anemic from fleas when they are really young I would assume that kittens are the same way??? How to I insure the fleas wil not hurt the kittens? I know I know I worry alot and so many survive outside and they get fleas but I am soooo new to kittens I am just worried. I looked on that site that syd suggested and couldn't find anything. Mom would be due for her frontline next week do I still put it on her?

Congrats.  Yes, they look like the right size.  Males sometimes harm babies but it depends on the male cat.  Yours may be fine.  Great site Syd.

Oof, I don't use that. I spray the enviornment with Zodiac with IGR/Precor, and the parents same.
Guess I cannot advise on this one...
I have not seen a flea in about 10 years...
