Tuna_chaser had to put down one of his dogs today. He said his dog turned and attacked another dog and then later when he tryed to pet her she growled and tryed to bit him. He took her to the vet and the vet said that it happens when dogs usually get older but usually in males. Now he also has to pay the vet bills for the other dog and everything. He feels so bad to because it was a weiner dog. Now he is trying to find out if dogs go to heaven because his pastor or another one told him they don't and they also said it was supported in the bible. He had to put do his baby trixie.
That is such a shame .. is that why he hasnt been on for a while? please pass on my condolences to Tuna_chaser.. and what sort of place would heaven be without dogs .. of course they go
thank u all for the support. it was a tough thing to do but it had to be done. nora is still waiting for her pal to come home and it is tearing me up. i read ROMANS 8:18-25 and i do believe that she is in heaven and i will see her again someday..............
Give tuna_chaser my condolences as well. I feel so bad for him!! It does say in the Bible that dogs don't go to Heaven, but my mom always told me that if I prayed to God that he let our dogs in, he just might, so I'll be praying for Trixie that she gets into Heaven and is there waiting for him when he gets there. My childhood dog Hank is already up there with my grandpa and Eli, our last doberman.
thank u very much. the vet was nice enough to let me hold her paw as he put her to sleep and i did pray with her and asked GOD to please let her into heaven and take care of her until i get there
hope this poem brings you some comfort. so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet
"I Loved You Best"
So this is where we part, My Friend, and you'll run on, around the bend, gone from sight, but not from mind, new pleasures there you'll surely find. I will go on, I'll find the strength, life measures quality, not its length. One long embrace before you leave, share one last look, before I grieve. There are others, that much is true, but they be they, and they aren't you. And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought, will remember well all you've taught. Your place I'll hold, you will be missed, the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed. And as you journey to your final rest, take with you this...I loved you best.
I am sorry for your loss. Here is the poem "Rainbow Bridge".
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
again thank u all for ur support. its been a tough day for me. luckily nora is taking care of me and i am blessed to have her to fall back on. i think she knows now cause she is sad too.
