I'm so freakin' excited!!!! However will I wait so long? Hmmm..... well, I've waited for 22 yrs. I'm sure I can wait a few more months. But it's almost here!!!!

i am so excited for you. i remember how i was while waiting for annie. we had wanted another french bulldog after we had rocky for awhile. we put a deposit down on a three week old female. and waited another 8 weeks. the day she was supposed to be shipped the breeder called to tell us she had soft palate, a genetic disorder. i was heartbroken. we then found annie from a russian breeder and had to wait a couple of more weeks for her. i was a basket case until i saw her wriggling little body through the crate. lol .she was well worth the wait. congrats on your new coming pup. be sure to post some pics !
These next couple of months are going to seem to take forever but in reality they will fly by! Between now & then I foresee a bunch of trips to the pet store to pick up all the necessities as well as lots of extras! Then there will be the time you spend going thru your home getting it all puppy-proofed. You will also need to make sure you have the right equipment for taking all those pics of your new furpal so all of us can see!
Whoa! Where have I been? I didn't know you were getting a bulldog! That's awesome Zoe! I wonder if you will be like how I was when I was waiting for my Chihuahua and looked at her pic everyday, lol.

I don't think anyone knew I was getting a bulldog. I have been keeping it to myself. I've been afraid my husband would back out. I mean, I do have 6 dogs already. He seemed excited after I told him Hank was about to be born so I think it may happen. Once there born the breeder doesn't allow anyone in the house until their 6 weeks old. Before I see the first litter they will be a little over 6 weeks because I have to wait on the second litter to turn 6 weeks. I'm not sure which litter Hank is in. His dad is Joe-Joe. The #2 bulldog in the country at the moment. I can't wait!!!!

I saw my first bulldog when I was around 4 and I fell totally in love. My mom and dad were big rescuers and the thoughts of spending money to buy a dog was not going to happen. They're still that way. When I was 12 I got to adopt my first dog. It was Daisy and Billy. Billy passed about 4 years ago and I still have Daisy. She's 14. My other 5 were adoptions also. I, having grown up with my parents, felt it unfair to buy a dog when so many needed adopting. Within the last 3 years is when I decided that I will buy my bulldog and I will buy the best that money can buy. I have researched the breed like crazy and I feel like I know everything there is to know about the bulldog breed. Obviously I don't but you get the idea of how much research I have done. I found my breeder when I went to the Philadelphia Kennel Club Dog Show last November. My husband and I began talking about getting one around May. I called them and we talked a LOOOOOONG time. They have 4 females. All 4 were going into heat at the same time. They had both just retired and had thought about breeding all 4 at once. They decided against it and only bred 2. Tater is due on Wednesday and Dottie is due at the end of July. I am beyond excited!! I will show Hank. I have never shown before and I have no idea how. Hank and I will learn together.
