I would just like to thank Puttin for the wonderful gifts for winning July's Photo Contest. I recived the following items and a wonderful letter! The collar she made herself. The pictures give it no justice!

Wow! I didn't know about this either...lol. I remember some talk about it, but I didn't know that we were actually going to do it. That lady at the local dog food place said she would donate a sample bag of their foods for the winners, but since we moved, I haven't been out there. I guess I need to go back out there and square things away...lol
Is Puttin the one who handles this each month or does it change? How do we donate funds for the winner (if we want to participate?). Maybe setting up a PayPal account would be a great way of doing this. That way, anyone who wants to donate a little something for the winner can do so. If we did it this way, we'd need one person to control the PayPal account it would have to be opened in their name) and make sure the goodies were purchased and shipped each month. Or would you prefer to snail mail funds?
This is a great forum promotion tool. Also, at the end of the year, we'll vote on a yearly winner (from out of the previous monthly winners) and I'll purchase something like a movie prize pack for a family pf 4, a Zoo prize pack, a grooming gift certificate, or something like that for our yearly winner. I'm sure that local doggie spas in ya'lls areas offer GC's. If the winner is a horse or a cat or other animal, I'll get something that is relevant to them. I'll put up $100 for it, and even give the choice of a $100 PetsMart GC if the winner wants (in lieu of the other prize).
wow, thats a great idea, and as far as the pay pal thing, im all for it. i think most ppl have that nowadays and it sure would make things easier. that is very beamy of u. i cant wait to see what gets decided as a prize format.
Thanks everyone, I was able to get the stuff at a really good price. Not always, but I keep my eye open for things and keep them till I can use them. So I don't know that I would do a collar every month. But if I can I will. Don't be bummed if I don't though. LOL I'm no business women, hate handling money.
And I have to agree, the picture does no justice, the center piece of leather is shiny croco embossed leather.
I have tried to get better pics. But for some reason my cam hates me and has been very blurry lately on close ups. I think it's time to get another digi cam!!

Absolutely beautiful! I'm impressed, Puttin! I had volunteered to do the prize for one of the months, but I can't do something as nice as that.. What I sent would probably be an assortment of stuff amounting to under $10 before shipping.
Shiny, I got the stuff to make it for a low price. Had I bought that collar someplace it would have been like $25-35 or more. But It was low. Whatever you send will be great. I just thought I would kick off the contest with a bit of a bang.
