I just wanted to tell ya'll about a call I got this morning so that it doesn't happen to you. There was a message on my machine that said that they were from the fraud prevention department of my bank. They said that they had some questions about some recent activity on my account, and if I could please call them back at the 866 number they provided. Well, I called the number, but when the recording asked for my account information, I became suspicious and hung up. I got online and looked at my account to see if there was anything on there that would make them call. But all we use our debit card for is gasoline and sometimes fast food. So I called my bank directly and asked about that number and to see if it was valid. I had them listen to the recording as well. Well, come to find out, they have no listings for that number and that their fraud department is a completely different number. They are going to investigate it, as it seems like fraud! So if ya'll get calls like this, don't give your account information. I'm so glad I'm a paranoid person, lol.

we get emails from ebay .threatening if we dont reply they will suspend our account because of suspiscious activity. they need our account info to verify our account................not ! quinn just tells me to delete them when they show up because they are phony. you would think they would be able to catch them at it as many emails as they are sending out. i hope that people are not falling for it.
I tell anyone that calls on the phone, regardless of the matter, to put it in writing and send it. Don't give them your address, if they are anyone who knows you, they already have it.
My bank has set up a question and answer thing for anyone that banks with them. Like.... Whats your mothers maiden name? So anytime I call to do anything with my account or they call me I have to answer the question.
I get that email from eBay all the time and I always delete it. I remember when JL or oasis ( I have a very bad memory LOL) was all scared that eBay was going to close her account. There are several people there that get that same email. I have reported it to eBay and I have sent them a copy of the email as well. Still get them all the time.
I had the same thing the question and answer. I usually have all the answers\passwords the same but when it comes to my money I always have it different. I make it something that my hubby would have a hard time answering if I didn't tell him.
I had a similiar thing happen abut it was for my capital one card. The number was nowhere on their website so I emailed them. It did turn out to be a legit # and it also charges didn't show up on my card because they catch them before they hit the card and just want to ask you about them, so it all sounds legit except that it was your bank card but good call! Thanks for the info.
yep i get alot of ebay emails also ..each time i just report them .. i also never give out bank details over he phone from people wanting to sell me stuff ..you never know if its legit or not ..well they aint getting a penny outta me
