Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring---it was peace.
Is it not amazing, that we have the technology to now make our planet an Eden? Were it not for our individual greeds, this planet, not just one garden, would florish in it's various eco-systems.
Tuna, on that note...are you folks that are harvesting the seas doing anything to replenish what is harvested? I realise that we are not as hard on the sea populations as perhaps, less regulated countries, but what are we actually doing for the ocean enviornment[the most important source of food in the world]. Are we just raping it? Or, are we giving back? Where is the good source of protection for the ocean? Greenpeace has become too comercialized? I dunno. I would respect your opinion. A man who canna live without tuna, will know where his next meal is bound to...
yes, i obey laws and dont keep short fish. furthermore, i go as far as to toss back big males of some species so they can breed more. i have seen the depletion of the rockfish here and it is disgusting. i dont fish for them at all. i dont run a commercial fishing boat. passengers buy tickets and bring their rods and reels for a good time. EVERYTHING that is caught is eaten. we fillet onboard and toss carcas' back into the ocean. please dont confuse me with those who go out with nets and rape the ocean and destroy the ocean floor habitats. we sportfishing captains hate these ppl and get angry everytime we see a boat try to push us off of the fishing grounds out there so they can take 100 tons of fish at a whack. we have 100 fish on a good day, and nothing is destroyed, polluted, or goes to waste.
GOOD FOR YOU! Sounds like a real good thing to continue. I appreciate the input. I know who I will support if it comes to laws on the subject. It would be likely in your best interest to get the laws in your favor. I would love to join you someday. I hope there will be fish left at that time. I LOVE to fish...
sportfishing boat captains have been wrestling for years with the gill net laws, and have won some important battles. we have managed to get laws passed that make it illeagal to have them close to shore, and in the winter months, they cant be put spaning east to west because we used to constantly see whales caught in them. just an interesting fact about whale btw, more money has been made from watching whales than was ever made from killing them. i attend S.A.C. meetings regularly and voice my concerns about fishing laws.
i hope there will be fish left for the next generation. it scares the heck out of me to see what i have in my 30 years on this planet. i could tell u stories about things ive seen out there that would have u in tears. the things ive seen oil tankers do out there have had me in tears, and they dont involve dumping oil either. i make my money from the ocean, and i want the next generation to be able to do the same. i think the laws in effect that regulate sport caught fish are good enough, but the punishments for breaking those laws need to be tougher, and we need more fish and game officers out there to enforce them. too many ppl get away with murder., it makes me sick to even think about it.

yep i am with you on that one .. the sea are being fished to death and many species are near exstinction .. and to see peoole catch a whale on purpose sickens me .. they are a beautifull magnificent creatures.
People hunting sharks that have killed someone sickens me also.. Yes to me they are scary and i would not be happy if one ate someone that i know ..but heck when we go into the water we are in THEIR kingdom.. we dont have gills, we dont live in the water so we have to fit around them and their habits not the other way around.
thats right twink. well said. the beach is the dividing line between our worlds. i say feel free to kill any shark or whale that u see walking down the street.
