When we were at the spa a few weeks ago I was down by the pool and I stubbed my toe. My toe nail fell halfway off. I had nail glue so I have been glueing it for the passed couple of weeks. Well, yesterday I stubbed it again and there was no saving it after that. Since I am leaving for TN for over a week on Saturday I thought I needed a toenail. So this morning I went and had a new toenail made. I now have a fake toenail. It's kind of fun. I had fake nails in high school but never a fake toenail.

Okay now, that had me laughing. I have never seen a fake toenail. I stumped my toe pretty hard a few weeks ago and it broke halfway off, but it has grown back since then. But man did it ever hurt when it first happened.
Its kind of funny. Thats why I thought I'd share. It hurt so bad I couldn't get sneakers on. It feels a lot better now that its covered. I thought the acrylic might sting but it didn't. Now when she swabbed my toe with alcohol before she started it brought tears to my eyes. I yelled and jumped out of my chair and the girl just looked at me and said, I guess that hurt a little? I just started laughing at her. I said, ya think? You can't tell it's fake. She did a really good job. No more rum and pineapple by the pool.
They thought it was kind of funny but I go there a lot for manicures, at least twice a month, so their used to my sillyness.
I did glue it on. I've been glueing it on for like 2 weeks. Well, however long I've been back. I didn't have glue there with me so I went to the spa there and had them glue it and coat it with nail polish.

lol....too cute. Well, as long as you can put on your shoes AND look good! That's all that matters!
I have my nails done at a place where no one speaks english well. They always try to have a conversation with you, but I am just clueless and feel stupid half the time. They are so freindly, give you soda, change the channel on the tv for you...etc...
I just feel bad that I don't know what they are saying. They do a great job though, I love going there. I see other women in there just jabbering away with them and I am thinking...ok...is it just me?? I don't even know what they are saying yet these women go on and on with them! Must be me! lol
I guess it's actually a new craze somewhere in the south, I think. People are now getting acrylic toenails, as well as fingernails. I think it's just the dumbest thing (even though I could be making money from it, if I lived somewhere they didn't think it was stupid, ha). I guess for your case, ZT, it worked out ok, but I can't imagine spending that much money on myself every 2 weeks for fake TOENAILS!! lol
I wish I would have know about the whole fake toenail thing I would have gotten one when my toenail came off when a 50lb snake cage was rammed into my toe.
lol all i can say is ouch and it makes me feel alittle queasy to think about it lol .. well fake toenails is a new thing for me .atleast it dropped off through an accident and not because you had some weird fungal thing going on
