My puppies get an assortment.  They never know what they're having.  For breakfast they usually get a bit of Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie kibble.  Sometimes they get eggs and toast.  For dinner they get Nutro Ultra kibble or Merricks kibble.  Along with the kibble they either get Merrick's canned food and three times a week they get raw.  Usually I use the Bravo brand.  I also keep an assortment of meat on hand for them.  Steaks and chicken and stuff and I cook those for them.  I'm always worried about their food and nutrition.

I had all mine on Artemis, now only sasha and lilly are on that.  Rufus is on Innova adult. I have been having issues with him, he had been chewing on himself. So I changed his food back to Innova in which he had done very well on before. It cured his itchies before. Still he is itching. At least I know it was not the Artemis.  I think your pup(sis pup) should do very well on Innova.  The only reason my others are not on it is because of tear staining.

Oscar is on Diamond Lamb and Rice. Its the only food I could find that he would eat with his allergies.

All of mine are on Science Diet Sensitive Skin. Mollie doesn't really have sensitive skin, but I figure I'm not buying a special food just for her. I just buy a 35lb bag of it every few weeks and that's it. Lexie had dandruff when we first got her and Chopper is allergic to beef and chicken protein so that's what the vet recommended for him.

i feed mine chicken soup for the puppy lovers soul kibble. i also give harley a can and split a can with my frenchies of merricks. they love it. especially the pot pie.  for treats i give the the natural balance lamb that comes in a tube.they also get snacks off and on as we sometimes share our food with them. they are little beggars. and i dont believe table scraps harm them. our peke was 13 and our pug was 18 when they passed.and harley is ten and still healthy.

I was feeding Nutro Ultra but have switch to another food. I started feeding them Solid Gold WolfKing. It's high energy, all natural, made from bison, made especially for large breed dogs. When I feed them at night I split a can of Solid Gold Green Cow tripe. It is so nasty looking and smells yuck, but the dog's totally love it. The tripe is the 3rd lining of a cow's stomach which holds the digested hay or alfalfa. It also has the natural digestive enzymes and acids which is suppose to be good for the dog's digestive system.

The only draw back on Solid Gold products is they're expensive and not easily available. It can be ordered from their website.

PitPat, I fed Solid Gold WolfKing for a while and I loved it.  The dogs did really well and looked wonderful.  The problem was with Tucker.  It was to rich for him and he always had diahrrea.  I wanted to just take Tucker off and leave everyone else on it but with the 6 dogs they do get into each others food so unfortunately I had to take them all off of it.  It's very good food though.

pd. i am not trying to tell you what to do, but ol'roy is one of the worst things you can ever feed your dog. i have an article about that dog food. not trying to scare you , just make you aware that it could even be harmful:

http://www.naturespet.com/flintwhatsin.html

and here is a section out of the "wheat, soy, corn, peanuthull, and other vegetable protein" article:

In 1995, Nature's Recipe pulled thousands of tons of dog food off the shelf after consumers complained that their dogs were vomiting and losing their appetite. Nature's Recipe's loss amounted to $20 million. The problem was a fungus that produced vomitoxin (an aflatoxin or "mycotoxin," a toxic substance produced by mold) contaminating the wheat. In 1999, another fungal toxin triggered the recall of dry dog food made by Doane Pet Care at one of its plants, including Ol' Roy (Wal-Mart's brand) and 53 other brands. This time, the toxin killed 25 dogs.

I feed Purina One Lamb and Rice. I've tried so many other foods like Chicken Soup, Nurto. ect... They just won't eat it. They have this thing about Purina! Although it doesn't really bother me, going threw about 40LBS in 2 weeks can be hard on the pocket with Chicken Soup and Nurto.

Dusty I have tryed just about everything else and Ol'Roy is the only one she will eat. Even if I do leave another type of food eat instead of eating it she will go eat poo or trash. Plus right now my mother and me are getting ready to move and all our money is going into the move and we are going for the cheaper food to save money.

My are now on Merricks.  I was feeding Nutro, but have found that Duke doesn't have as much of an allergy problem with the Merrics, and they seem to really like it.

Nature's Recipe wins the price contest this week...
Nutro Natural Choice is a close second.
If I won't eat it, good luck good selling it to me....

Dusty.
Just read your post.
Nature's Recipe was one of the only feeds that DARED TO RECALL that season.
MANY OTHER DISTRIBUTORS GOT THE SAME GRAIN, THEY LET YOUR ANIMALS EAT IT.
It was, before they were bought out by Heinz foods, I think.
I do remember the recall.
I know that most of your dogs puked, while mine did not, because NR was not afraid to ADMIT there was a problem....
