Puppys are the best! I always told myself if i had another dog in the house it would be a small dog, but it looks like Hyde might be big, he turned 11 weeks today and is 16 pounds. Also looks like I might be keeping him!!!
He's gonna be a big boy. Probably I would guess 80 pounds full grown. I know when Oscar was 12 weeks old he was pushing 60 pounds and at one year he was 150. But he is a Great Dane. The Lab I had was 90 pounds and he was not fat...he was a ball full of muscle.
Are you really gonna keep him? What happened to your sister?
My sister still wants a dog, a labradoodle or goldendoodle, cause of her allergies. When i got Hyde I knew I would have him for a couple months, to train etc...but the more I am with him the more I know it will be hard to let him go. We'll see, but there is a possibilty I might keep him, not sure yet. He is either gonna be with my or my sis, so at least he will be in the family. :)
He is such a sweet and smart dog, he learned to sit the 2nd day i got him and learned to fetch a tennis ball and bring it back. I'm hoping all his training will be this easy...lol...keeping my fingers crossed.
he sure is a cutie.. The program service program that my pups got into had a litter of labordoddles, all made the cut. The lady that runs the program said they were clowns, and very good dogs, but they low shed coats don't come in till the third or fouth generaton.
Is your pup the first generation or a later generation.
I am not one for promoting mixing, but when it is for the purpose of creatining a new breed go for it. And this breed allows for a good service dog for people with allergies.
heres a pic of the doddles in the same service program as my pups
