hey ! my son used to have two rats. they were so lovable.and they are not biters. the guy at the pet store where we bought them said" people will buy hamsters and gerbils for their kids and they will bite the hell out of them, but they wont let them have rats which are not biters at all" go figure........

I agree dusty. When I worked at petsmart there was this lady who came in with her 2 sons and she was looking into getting them a hamster and I told her about the rats and at first she went yuck but when she found out that they didn't bite unless they were protecting younger or they smelled food on your hands then she turned to her sons and told them that they were going to be getting rats. LOL

I'm not sure I'm going to leave that banner at the top....just experimenting.  I think it looks a little too "fluffy" for this place.....lol.  We'll see.

AH HA!!! so ur the tag fairy!!!  i was thinking it was someone else.  fluffy?  i wasnt gonna say it, but its a bit too fluffy for guys, but i think its cool, and the majority of members are ladies, so it works.  but if u change it, u just gotta put a tuna  or a fish of some kind up there.  maybe a snapper......no, a school of pillowfish, yeah that would be cool.

Though I think it is really neat, I do think it might turn guys away from joining. Too girly-girly. Just my opinion though.

Fluffy...I agree, I said it was pretty, but the 1st word that came to mind was "feminine". My scare off or attract guys, who knows...

I had mice as pets when I was a kid. Spent most of my adult years feeding mice and rats to my snakes though...
